It is true tho, loads of people die every day and nobody gives a fuck. As soon as its some celeb, people are going mental, pretending to be really upset, listening to all their songs, pretending they were always a big fan. It really makes me sick the way people go on when a celeb dies. It was a tragedy that she died, yes. But no more than all the other people that die every day.

The record companies must be over the moon, sony increased the prices of her music the second that they heard about her death (they got caught and said it was a 'mistake') it is just like one great marketing scheme to them evil people.

yeah, agreed. but deadrockstar of the week is equally lame. not muppet tho, cause muppets are rather ace can't wait to see thee new 'un. The Muppets Christmas Carol always makes me howl

meh, parcelforce are really heavy on the admin and 'chance' fines opportunities.

my parcel force collection office is 40 miles away which is ridiculous. if it's from abroad I remember they like to charge £8 'handling' customs fee for having to handle the customs checking process (if it's over the nonchargeable amount of $ 38 ), as well £5 I think for sending a letter to tell you there's the £8 fee on top of the customs tax applied

just looked on their website re: redelivery

it seems to say that if it's been left at a local post office for you (after they failed to deliver at your addy), then you can pick it up there, but cant get it redelivered to you. hmnr. would be better for you if they hadnt of done that, but i remember I looked into it when sending stuff at xmas, that this is common practice (and kinda convenient most of the time imo)

have you got any ID matching the name on the parcel to the same addy?

post office militant assistants can be a pain in thee rear

just reread your original post about ID. can you get anyone else from your addy to take ID and do the whole 'it's for my BF/GF/RELATIVE routine'?, and make sure it's a different assistant they ask?
 
Aye I was thinking about that Marmalade, was going to send my housemate round to do the same thing. Parcelforce can be bastards, £8 handling fee?! Never encountered any extra fees but shoddy customer service and a 30 minute wait on an 0845 number to speak to a real person has had me pretty vexed.
Ended up ringing Parcelforce again - the first time she told me redelivery was not available - and saying that I was disabled (I know..) and couldn't leave the house. Redelivery for tomorrow or monday, sorted. :)

eh, nice result. I've used similar methods myself this week, after experiencing rage inducing jobsworth ROBOC*nts manning receptions. and they were totally at fault in the first place. ROBOpeople and me don't get along too well.

and coincidentally, I just got emailed a tracking number for a delivery tomorrow too. so I guess we've both got goodies being delivered n stuff to look forward to.

Hahahaha, my dad is like an area director or some shit in that company (possibly your area lol, I'm not saying where though, think it would be too easy to track him down!). I'll pass on your concern ;)

OT - Everyone needs one of these guys in their life. I always blag my mates when I'm round at his flat & we've been on the chico, finally got round to buying my own & bought my wee pal one because she's got the cold & I'm such a nice guy %) Got offered a possible ticket to go see the premier of Irvine Welsh's Ecstacy at the GFT at the weekend in return (reliant on her other mate dropping out, which she thinks will happen). Winner!
