Im blessed to have frugal taste buds when it comes to coffee then.. I prefer instant coffee and cant tell the difference between happy shopper and Nescafe.
Coffee has to be from an espresso machine, with the correct beans, ground to the correct consitency (according to my scale of acceptability), served with sugar and highly frothed milk standing proud like a souffle!
Drunk with the little finger stiff and extended, perchance?![]()
My expresso making machine finally broke on me today, but my friend taught me how to make coffee in a saucepan without having to use a cafetiere. Basically, you just put one scoop per cup of proper coffee into a saucepan full of water, bring to the boil, simmer and strain through a tea strainer then voila, job done. I still want a glass Cafetiere though.
I only ever buy fair trade coffee. Cafe direct to be precise.
My dear Monkey, the money I save on by purchasing cheap coffee keeps me in quality picks for my Harp glissando's when I play in the Windsor orchestra.
