just realized i lost my pipe again... damn it. time to buy another £6.99 jobby from amazon

found out last night that when i nearly ended up hospitalized from too much MXE ontop of booze a few weeks ago, the following night a couple of people i was with hoofed up massive lines again and spent 6 hours in the bathroom trying to get out, one matey spent 5 hours stuck in the bath tub

Fair play Cherry, taking on 2 kittens. Such a big commitment both with time and money, and not just temporary - maybe 20 years plus. You seem like the sort of person who even if your circumstances change you'll ensure the cats come first, and don't end up in a rescue centre or being passed on to 'friends' to face an uncertain future. Here's wishing the 3 of you many, many happy years :)

Link us to the pipe?

Haha I was once locked in a mates house one night on mxe. He was gone bloody ages aswell, couldn't work out how to operate the CD player. TV was broken. Windows locked...nightmare scenario, head just left to roast! I've had similar with k but it's still enjoyable, like doing too much k and 2ci in a line then not knowing whether I was inside or outside the room, was pretty funny after :D

Didn't know whether to put this in the drinks thread or this thread, but I thought you guys might appreciate the offer that starts tomorrow:D:

4 cases of beer/cider etc at Tescos. They are only 12 packs though, but there are voucher codes online for another £15 when you spend £75 (handy if you can grab a mate to go in on it I guess). 144 assorted beers and ciders for £60. I don't even drink very much, but I think I might buy my next years worth of alcohol in one go.

The Vaporgenie is supposed to be the best vapouriser/pipe for spice. i've not used one cos I have proper vapouriser, but for 40 quid A VaporGeniemight be worth investing in if you gonna be doing it regularly.

That's a very beautiful pipe Coltdan :)
I must say that even though I don't smoke weed anymore, I miss all the aesthetically pleasing aspects of the "rituals" of having a smoke.

Evening EADDerz <3

I'm still feeling a bit confuzzled after last night's shenanigans - There was Speed in the rather large capsule of MDMA I was given and I get terrible Speed-confuzzlement. Was so confuzzled that I couldn't get my head straight enough to hook up my laptop to the mixer etc. and didn't end up playing my set :\ So that sucked.
But the rest of the evening was very lovely :) Saw loads of peeps I'd not seen in years and met many others who were lovely, and got suitably trashed ;)

I hope everyone's doing well and having a lush, chilled Sunday eve <3~:)~<3

:) Hell yes, I adore them and i've only had them since Friday. They come first even now, the kitchen currently has more of their food in it, than food for me ;) Heh, I've not done my food shopping yet that's all.

I'm still in touch with the girl I got them from, she said she liked how I was with the kittens when I went to visit, and sensed that I'd give them a good home. I've asked her if she'd be able to cat sit for me if I go back up North to visit home (Not that I go very often) and she said she'd love to do that, she literally lives a five min walk up the road. So that saves me paying for a cattery as I detest those places, I'd hate to leave them in a place like that. I can see me and these lovely things becoming life long friends, where I go, they'll come too. Just call me 'crazy cat lady Cherry' <3

you probably know this Cherry but if they need to see a vet you can get free treatment from the PDSA up on the bath rd or maybe its the Wells rd if you qualify

the pdsa feck me off. if you happen to be on a low income but don't qualify, they refuse to help, THEN write articles online complaining about the number of pets being put down due to people being unable to afford vets bills. i get worried about what happens if anything happens to my cat cos my incomes dropped significantly since i got her. guess i need to save up for insurance+ excess (no point having one without money for the other) and hope nothing happens while i'm getting that money together.

no doubt if you do qualify, they're great.

I always wondered whats to stop someone giving their pet to someone who does qualify and have them take it in. I don't feel its cheating the charity as long as your pet is in need and you genuinely cant afford it. Better to get them speyed then add to the unwanted population.

And I wouldn't bother with insurance, its all a big con. You can pay every month for years and never claim, so you've spent hundreds and nothing to show for it,

imo if youve got spare cash you're better off putting the money you'd spend on insurance in an account & saving the money up in case they need treatment, and most vets will let you do some sort of instalments, but I'm not sure if they do a credit check for that.

I am very fond of my pets but if one of them got injured and the bill was gonna be huge I'd probably get them put down unless I could borrow the money from someone, hard to say what I'd do unless i was in that situation.

I gave a kitten so a couple once, 3 months later its paw got squashed by a car and they paid over £4k to get in sorted. I think thats crazy - maybe Im cold hearted or maybe Im just skint.

thats a good idea- though i'm not sure i know anyone who qualifies!! and i agree, its not really cheating if you genuinely need the help.

thats fair enough about insurance, and partly why i haven't had it so far. putting the money away and paying vets bills in installments does sound like a better use of money. i've been fine so far, getting her spayed and keeping her vaccinations up to date but there's no room in my budget for large unexpected costs.

4k is a huge amount. faced with that i'd probably make the same decision as you. it would be difficult but given the current job prospects for our generation and the length of time you'd be paying it off, getting into a debt like that unnecessarily is an immense risk.

Most vets that I know don't allow 'accounts' anymore. at least they're really funny about it due to non-payers. they used to allow installments. if push comes to shove though for emergency treatment, I'm sure theyd allow you to pay in installments because they all need the cash badly. ever since animal meds like Frontline and Drontal became legalised to sell online and chemists like Boots and whatnot started selling them, a lot of vets are struggling to make ends meet because they used to make a lot of cash from overpricing those things. they used to charge £20 plus for 3 of those frontline sachets, and I can get them online for less than a tenner now

I've been lucky with my two. the black one had a broken leg when she was 4, which cost £400, which I had to borrow, but saving that, it's just been vaccinations and 1, possibly 2 abscesses. pretty damn lucky considering the black one is 20 now

the tabby one who recently died, I took in as an emergency, as he went downhill overnight and needed to be put down. I wasn't charged for that either as it was at a local animal hospital.

Wow your cat is almost as old as I am 8o What do you do when you want to travel for an extensive period of time?

I don't. I mostly prefer weekends away anyway, and that's pretty much all I've had since Ive had them. i give a neighbour or relative a key to come and feed em & let them in/out in that scenario.

had one extended trip to the states and they went to my mum's, which isn't normally an option because the cats there don't get on with mine.
I'd never use a cattery either. not because of cash, but just because most that I've seen don't seem that well managed.

I wouldn't get another pet until I retire tbh. and then I'd love a rescue dog and some rescue cats.

I would love to get a small rescue dog, probably a jack russell, and then get a pet passport for it so that it can travel the globe with us :D It would be fun getting pictures of my dog taking a piss next to land marks all over the world or something.

Haha expensive transporting a pet around the world you know MSB. Cost my mums mate quite a bit taking a dog home from Australia! Think it was 4 figures!!

Here's my wee jack russel, he's bigger than normal cos he's a parsons/tri colour

Still no sign of the mxe faries for me today. How annoying another day on the sober. Had been hoping for a cheeky wee line after my drugs test this morning. Still at least feeling the benefit of that line of k last night. Gonna go for a walk in the snow with the dog %)
