I concur. At this time on a monday morning it's going to be a 2 hour wait at max, probably 5-10 stitches by the sound of it. Even if it doesn't get infected it will close the wound much quicker, and it'll cause less pain.
 
i hear what you guys are saying, i just am too busy at the moment, if its as bad as it is now tomorrow i will go to the gp's and get it checked out, can't be dealing with hospitals, hate the fucking places, urgh its my head thats giving me the most grief, proper gave it a knock and my headache will not budge no matter how many painkillers i munch down :\
I will be leaving work once the deliveries go out at 3ish, if i can last that long, plus the hour long tube ride isn't fun when you feel like you're either gunna pass out or throw up, what a fun monday, i know for a fact had i taken drugs this wouldnt of happened, i was the definition of paraletic

and i think its already too late for stitches, it does look like its healing, can't see any fatty tissue anymore, so hopefully thats a good thing and i have cleaned it with disinfectant many times so hopefully it should be fine
 
These things are best seen to before they have chance to get worse, BCF. What would you rather have - a day off now or up to a few weeks off down the line?

You may well be fine this time but if something's causing you that much discomfort it pays to get it checked out properly. I have a hole in my face to remind me of what an everyday infection can do, and I'm sure at the time I felt as invicible as you.

I'll spare you the lecture on alcohol for now. ;)

Lets weigh it up for you.

Cons of going to A&E:
-You are a big girl who is scared of hospitals ;)
-You spend 2 hours of your time there

Pros of going to A&E:
-Saves you weeks of being in hospital getting IV anti-biotics
-Closes the wound quicker
-Less pain
-Much smaller scar
-We still stop moaning at you
-Your work will be less effected
-If you ham it up enough they might prescribe you a nice box of codeine for nothing

It's a no brainer mate!
 
Indeed. And stop sending me bad vibes for nagging you. I've just trod in fox shit with BOTH FEET and dragged it all the way up the stairs. That was not called for.

Had my Occy Health appointment today, seems as though my job is safe for now, I'm clear to go back to work tomorrow, although I am not too sure about my long term prospects now that they know that I use drugs. Urine tests were mentioned as a possibility for the future depending on what the companies policy is. If that ends up being what happens it will force me to stop using drugs recreationally or face the consequences, would have meant I wouldn't have been able to do bupe this weekend without it showing up on a test. I guess it would only be for as long as is necessary to show that I am reliable again at work, and it is not a definite thing that they want me to do. Really hope they don't though.

Going to addiction counselling in a couple of hours, hopefully that will help somewhat and will get me started and fulfill my intentions of getting off drugs and focusing on the other things in life.

Maybe work finding out about drugs is a blessing in disguise, means I am going to have to make 100% sure I use them less and have no more fuckups at all on them, I think that the episode the other week was definitely my last chance.
 
Bcf your gp will probably send you to hospital anyway so you might as well go sraight there, you should stop putting it off because it could get nasty!

Yea it does sound like it's a bit of a blessing in disguise if they were to impliment the tests. Hope you settle in quickly ;)
 
Been working six days in a row now as a 'Sandwich Artist' in a tiny little shop, really want to find something better than this. The people who I work with slip in and out of languages so the day drags on and on. Don't know whether to sack it and try and find a new place or not, really not feeling happy here. It's just frustrating that with qualifications in the sciences the only job I can get is placing salad on a bread, a task which I seemingly cannot perform fast enough apparently :/
 
i wanna get a Budgie for my new gaff , dunno if we are allowed though .

They said no pets n one woman who had 2 kids 10 n 14 had to stay in her old nasty house cos she had cats n wasn't prepared to give them up8o

Then she said (the tenancy woman) that we may be allowed a small caged animal , so Budgie its gotta be , i really hope i can have one , i think i 'll have a yellow one rather than blue.
 
Well when i went to the gardenn centre they had loads in one cage n some didn't look happy , i'm sure they would be happier with me n i'll let him out for afly round obviously .

Its bound to be happier with me i'll teach it stuff .
