Hope your having a fantastic week.

I had a wonderful long weekend in Belgium and Holland, and the weather was gorgeous to, as I also hear its been here. Cant wait to go back.

A word of advice for all you UK MDMA lovers, please stop quibbling and bickering over half (not all) the skanky shite doing the rounds on PR in the UK section and on here, and get your arse over to those countries and youll see how its just perfectly normal to obtain good quality pills for your nights partying. You wont ever want to take something claiming to be MDMA in UK again to be honest.

Anyway, that is all.

Nice evening of 4-fa tonight, bought a new fridge/freezer but didnt wait 12h before plugging it in so dunno if the bastard'l work haha. Forgot what a nice smooth stim 4-fa is though =D

Been meaning to ask, been on opis for a while now, long enough to have some pretty irritating withdrawals, if i man it out for a day or 2 then take some naltrexone will this speed up the withdrawals? I know it'l make it nastier, but that i can deal with haha

I would be careful once you have taken the Naltrexone theirs no going back , it could be a bad decision.

Besides if you been on OPiates for awhile , do you really think that your Naltrexone treatment is working ?

if you remotely give a shit about live music, alternative music, supporting people with the drive and passion to do their own thing, getting sweaty and kind of beaten up, not making leeds even more depressing than it already is, etc etc etc, then you should sign this.

i never know if petitions do anything but honestly i can't face having to go to manc for every US touring band.

my first trip ever to leeds was to this venue.

my first ever night living in leeds was spent rocking out to Doctor Dan Yemin at this venue.

edit- how cool is this? i texted a mate to see if he could crash me a cig, and he's actually walking 15 mins to give me one (he was heading this way anyway...). doens't make up for the potential loss of the well though, but i can bug him to sign the petition.
a large proportion of my positive memories of leeds are at this venue.

it's my first and last

love that leeds has developed a kick-ass gig scene in the space of just a couple of years. it's finally given me the chance to catch bands I really like, in a place that I'm familiar with, that's relatively close to home.
 
even though those online petitions mean fuck all, signed - good luck keeping the well people of leeds
 
Anyone know anywhere good there is to go out in liverpool, just drinking I think got a few other nights lined up, its for tomorrow

I've never actually been there, it sounds good though. I don't think a petition will change anything, it's not the government changing the use it's private individuals. Don't most touring bands go to the Cockpit or the O2 any way? Speaking of which DJ Shadow is playing the O2 on Dec 2nd :D
 
not for punk and hardcore. its too small as a genre (elite, one might say). its basically the well, santiagos, the fenton, royal park cellars, occasionally brudenell social club.

and yeah, i don't think it will do anything, but there's only one way to find out- get as many signatures as possible!!!

I <3 the cockpit a ton. great little venue

my fave is the Brudenell.

it tops as my favourite venue ever actually. saw The Vaselines there last year, and fell in love. and christ, HOW good are the vaselines, live? engaging and amazing gig


whaaa? ... friendly bar staff, who seem to genuinely like people & love working there? c'est impossible! but seems entirely the case.
it felt like home from home. considering it's so perfectly small, they manage to book some corking bands. beautiful vibe and a true gem

[edit] also, I think it's non-profit/charity based, if im not mistaken
 
i'm going to brudenell on 7th for some ridiculous music. mainly as a vehicle to take drugs.

the ginger beer they do there is awesome.

think the retro bar in manc is my fave venue ever. so many awesome shows, including the best of my life.
 
Who's playing? I picked up over there the other day and the bloke just handed me a takeaway box filled with green in front of everyone (it turned out to be really mediocre as well, which would have made a bust even more gutting). I was paranoid walking all the way home lol.

Some of my friends used to do a Riot Grrrl club night there. I was allowed to gouch out in the DJ booth. One of the friends in question was my last ever massive crush - she looks like Joan Jett in her prime, doesn't take shit from anyone, shines like the midday sun in June and has sadly fucked off to live in London. Though on the rare occasions we see each other it's still electric.

Come back up north soon, S****.

I threw myself down the stairs there once to prove I was invincible. Turned out I wasn't.

Memories of being pushed against the wall by sexually-aggressive drunken journos, getting free drinks from the old queens upstairs and having my top ripped off by one of my mates when they played Iggy Pop at the end of the night.

Good times.

its called gold panda. i know nothing about them, but my boyfs rich mates coming and i plan to steal his drugs.

glad i brought back some good memories for ya SG.
