Don't envy you that task Monsta - there's something about people's personal effects that can be really evocative.

Hopefully you get the happier end of that particular stick more often than the sad, but I'd say a mixture of both is definitely on the cards. Good luck. <3

Well make sure you're in a happy mood for the Swans. ;)

Samhain were a different proposition -trying to be ironically 'evil' on budget of about $50. Some hilarious moments but they were a really raw, honest band - like spooky garage rock. Gotta love Samhain.

fuck monsta i do not envy you.

just had a ridiculsouly stupid argument with my boyf. i just can't work it out. he went fucking mad at me for putting a tray in the dishwasher. he's prob stressed because he's not going to work tomorrow, or the day after indefinitely. but losing the support of the only person who can help him get a job (he doesn't have a computer) is fucking retarded, especially when that person is already unbelievably angry at him for his lack of doing much to recitfy the job situation.

Sounds like a dream come true. I sadly am going to work tomorrow but just a 3 day week for me, come off Wednesday at 3pm for 11 days! :D
 
He's probably suffering from a mixture of undesirable feelings. I'd say forget about it, hard as it may be, and just try to be as gentle as possible in easing him into more active jobsearches. which I know isn't easy (and damn frustrating to be honest) but tensions won't make it any easier for him. Still, he shouldn't have lost it with you.

I just lost it with my ex on the phone because she blamed me for being low on money when I would've been alright had it not been for a panic-driven mistake I made when buying train tickets the other day.

Okay, maybe I could've spent less on drink or drugs, but is it really a lecture anybody needs on a Sunday morning when they've just woken up? Especially when the person delivering it is phoining because they want to hang out with you?

People, eh? Fuck 'em.
 
Yeah, I demanded the same. It'll go one of two ways - either she'll come back realising she's been a dick or she'll be stubborn and determined to stick to her guns.

This is a woman who is willing to deny the basic principles of cause, effect, action and reaction in order to 'win' an argument.
 
Yeah so its ten years since i was clean off everting bar a few benzos the date is significant for other reasons , thats why i remember.
Manged to keep cxlean for 8 months untill my GrandFather passed.

its philosophically valid to deny cause and effect, has been since hume pointed out that we can never observe cause or effect, merely infer them from chains of events. its still an intractable problem, made more difficult by experimental results which appear to require 'backwards causation' in their explanations. however, in order for her to hold that position she's have to adopt it at all times, not just in an argument.

brimz sounds like a contemplative day for you. hope you're alright. a decade is a long time.

When she says it's alright that she slapped me becuse I called her a dickhead immediately afterwards then there's summat not right. :D

And Brimz - 10 years is a long time to be doing what you've been doing but your general attitude, intelligence, wisdom and (most of the time) sense of responsibility throws that 'junky' stereotype that stupid people harbour right out of the window.

So it's ten years in which you've managed to hold it together and keep your soul. Be proud of that.
 
Thanks atm...Its the depression and boredom thats the killer...I have read a good few of your posts lately and enjoyed them.Were probably both in a similar situation.Growing up is a pain.I would prefer reckless abandon with no consequences or responsability. It doesnt seem to work though anymore:(
