Ahh Sadie, I'm a bit of an old softey for animals in general, used to have a 16lb french lop rabbit.

Have a pooch these days:-

I don't really have a shaggy rug to compare, we had him trimmed right back last year and i didn't like it at all. he doesn't malt much but I do brush him regularly or he gets dread locks!

He is me true mate, I love that dog with all my heart, I have to treasure everyday as he probably wont live much past 5 or 6 due to a kidney problem they picked up when he was "done".

Mad as a box of frogs though, after 18 months of attending every Saturday morning with a dog trainer she said we would never train the madness out of him ! Probably why I identify with him so much=D

He's so gentle with the kids and so placid in the house though, just goes mental when he meets new people and dogs, some (non dog people) aren't all that keen on 5-6 stone of dog jumping all over them so I have to be careful where I let him off the lead.

He's a real softey though never barks or growls at people or dogs <3<3

Labradoodles are fast becoming my favorite dog. Does your dog feel like a shaggy rug atm?

Also thank you for not asking me "what kind of dog is that" (i should have said really)...people stop in car as i walk down the road . I don't usually mind but there is a bit of dog snobbery around the breed as they aren't recognised by the kennel club (like i give a shit) so some just say "so it a cross then" in a snobby voice.

Not that it matters but mine is an F2 which means it was bread from 2 labradoodles, cost an arm and a keg but we got him for the temperament and the lower allergy potential

Yeah dog snobbery is rife now. It's almost impossible to get a nice mutt these days. Mutts are brilliant, you seem to get the benefits of two or three breeds if the dog is well bred. It makes for a much more interesting dog (plus they are almost totally unique in how they look). It's almost like purebreds have had all the personality bred out of them. I seem to remember 15-20 years ago only really wealthy people could afford an actual breed. I really like the Shepadoodles as well. Maybe i'll get a Shep and cross it with a lab so I can have my dream dog. That's a shame to hear about her having bad kidneys.

its a he but yeah, they did an ultrasound and he has about 25% kidney function, that said you wouldn't know, I guess any of us or our loved pets could have an nasty illness hiding away in there. I dealt with the crying about it when we found out, lucky he was insured the bill for the investigation was just over a grand!

Wow, just woke up about 10 minutes ago, that was some long sleeping going on. Seems to have slept off any hangover too which is a bonus. Can't believe how long I slept for again though, seem to have some sort of long sleep syndrome or something, lol.

Gonna go and make something for breakfast, not reallly sure what I have, picked a load of mini apples from a tree on my way home yesterday so might just have a couple of them and a couple of slices of toast.

Ahh don't do that Kate, I've been on my best behavior since my last wonk out :) (yes people this is as good as its going to get)

And I haven't even had a chance to get to know you yet.

Spade is still around, not that I've got to know him, juts posted the odd insult as it seems to be critical for ongoing membership of the board (sorry Spade have been I bit of a sheep on that one)

Yes we have to put up with Sam as a Mod (well they told him that just to feed his delusional state), but don't let that put you off=D

That's very kind of you atm, I like a bit of bad behaviour, just not prepubescent -nastiness for a lack of a personality, so will look out for your naughtiness! Long as it's very good badness ;)

One things a certainty Spadeybaby is a constant here and it's good to know some things in life are a surety 8) I'll have to admit this but one of the last things I did as a mod here was to vote for sam as mod :o Just as well I left after that I can't always make the right decision all of the time ;)

Your doggie is gorgeous - I like pet people and used to keep Spadeybaby as one of my pet when my husband went abroad to work hehe.

I'm avoiding digging a new veg bed in my garden - I'm all hot and bothered and overdone it on my bike this morning. Guilt is hitting in now though...my brassica's won't be thanking me. lol

Morning Mugz <3

Talking of filth, I really must get myself dirty in some real muck! Those bras-sicas are screaming for it...

Any comments about Felix will have me hitting the report button btw :p;):p

Kate, he is delusional ...don't feed it, and certainly dont stroke his genuis 8o, you have no idea where its been ;)

A million 'oy vey's to one and all. :)

I've just been told in a matter of fact way by a real-life Yorkshirewoman that I'm a 'minor concern'. Obviously she's hopelessly wrong, but for a second it rattled my (tastefully designed by Le Corbusier) foundations.

Ohh do elaborate ...I could really do with the entertainment, the dog walk had to be cut short due to my dodgy knee..again

The tales of irate Yorkshire lasses sounds like it has some mileage
