Thanks, me too. Time will tell whether the shunt will do it's job and get her sight back to normal and regulate the spinal fluid and stop her pain.

I'm kind of glad I am not there though as every other time she has come around from being under general anesthetic she had become a devil woman (she is already hard enough to deal with normally, lol) I can imagine her tearing some of the nurses on the recovery ward a new one, and my dad will be in for a treat too.
 
Ooooooh yea - Opiates + Hypnotic Benzos = Tooooo nice + Tooooo dangerous (just for HR's sake :) )

On that tonight and eeeeeee I'm as snug as a bug in a rug of gear =D

It's so easy to forget how dangerous it can be when you've experience and tolerance to such substances though innit? :\

Yeah I can't wait, my fingers are killing! It just feels so good making music! Well I wasn't writing music I was learning to play blackbird

I think, if I remember correctly, if you soak your hands in cold water after playing it both speeds up the process of getting calluses and helps with the soreness :)

Won't get to play with the Diabolo tonight unless I do so in the bedroom. My hearts not in it now. Hot bath and a retreat to the bedroom for a spot of writing and a bit of drawing maybe. Dunno. Gotta long walk ahead of me tomorrow so will try and get a good nights sleep.
 
Just got back from the gym/pub, managed to watch the second half of our teams match against the top of the league team. We won 14-8. The match was good quality football, and although I was a bit bitter about being asked not to play I am glad I didn't, was rough as fuck, lots of elbows in faces, one of our team had his head pretty much stamped on, but the ref only sin binned the guy rather than sending him off. I think I would have died if I had played.

We are hoping the appeal to get the other team get points deducted for their violence. It is our only hope of winning the league as they have a goal difference of about 30 more than us, and we will finish on equal points.

Only ended up having one pint after the game as everyone had to go. Was a good second half to watch though. Wish I had gone to the whole game.

Thanks Sadie <3 and everyone else that has had kind words about the situation. Am just happy that the worst part is over now, and hope that she has a speedy recovery and it is all fixed now.

Red hot bath and a pint of the finest of ciders ( asda's cheapest ) my soul is soothed for the moment. Not gonna let anything get to me to ruin this feeling. Think I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight.

why can't i have a dream holiday and smoke shitloads of weed every night?

this weed budgeting is totally rubbish. i'm still smoking every day, just 1 bed time doob, so not even getting any health benefits really. i feel like such a tit for being so dependent on what really is quite a shit drug.
