I wasn't aware you had to apply for it, I assumed you were just covered by it if the Dr said so. Doesn't really seem to make sense, it's the Disability Discrimination Act, designed so that employers can't discriminate against people with a disability, seems a bit daft if the employer can just turn round & say "Aye well that cunt didn't apply for it so fuck him". I'm covered by the DDA under the mental health act according to my doctor, until now I've never heard anything about applying for it. Are you sure you're not thinking of applying for related benefits???

I am a CS (I think), probably why I wasn't sacked a long time ago. I pay money into some hardship fund thing for CSs every month out my wages so I better fucking be one.

Fuck it, maybe getting sacked will end up being a good thing. I'll take the compensation pay-out & fuck off to Ibiza for the summer or something. Or, more likely, I'll blast the lot before the season even starts & spend the summer collecting a giro.
 
PT The law changed recently (October ) so I can't be certain if the process for certification has changed. But your doctor can RECOMMEND you for DDA but that doesn't make it so. You'd know if you were DDA. If in doubt speak to your Doctor He / she would know.

As stated previously, even if you are covered by DDA this is not to say that your employer still cannot sack you if you no longer meet the needs of your role and a suitable one cannot be found or made for you.


Are you sure you're CS? There are not many left due to budget cuts. You may work for a certain sector but not be CS. You'd know if you were. Its one hell of an employment package! Fucking CUSHTY!

Dee Dee - Apart from the job shite I've been rambling on about, I'm no bad. Got a bong & bag of weed next to me, Mr Nice will be downloaded in about 10 minutes & I'm gonna smoke my pan in so I can't really complain. Only problem is I need set an alarm to get up & do shit the mora instead of just lying in bed all day.

Sadie - I've never applied for anything so I'd be pretty sure I'm not under the DDA then if that is the case.

Aye, I'm pretty sure I'm a CS, hence the "fucking cushty employment package". I've not been at work since June or July & have been getting full pay up until last month, where it went to half pay plus SSP. Even if they do sack me they'll pay me something like a month's pay for every year I've worked there (happened to my mate when he ripped his sick days too much lol).

Andy Carroll plays football reasonably well. For some reason, Liverpool made him the 9th biggest transfer of all time, last week.

Joanna Yeates was some woman who got murdered. I think while she was out for a pizza or something.
 
They made a big thing in the hunt for Joanna Yeates' murderer about the fact that she bought a pizza but never got a chance to eat it. The Daily Mail in particular had an absolutely wild article where some mad woman retraced her last steps & made crazy comments about things, can't be arsed to look it up but it's hilarious, comes across like a parody.

It's horrible outside, rain and mad windy. I've got to get a train in a bit and cannot be arsed...I just want to stay at home all cosy and dry :!

PT I thought that was a giant fish in the road!

Afternoon all, just made a nice big coffee about to sit down and write some choons methinks. Managed this far without alcohol now and even been around people drinking every day and it being offered quite often. Waking up in the mornings has never been so easy without drinking the night before :)
