Rainbow Gathering-WORTH GOING TO?

Hey, has anybody been to a Rainbow Gathering before?

The whole concept and values they espouse are very much in line with my own.

If you've been, did you enjoy it? Why or why not?

I'm curious.

Is a rainbow gathering something you can just show up to? I thought it was an invitation only type thing? Amongst the 'family' (which is very large).

If there some official info site I'm not finding? I hope they have it in the ozark national forest.

gatherings are open to everyone as long as you are a kind soul ,just bring food or something and help out in the kitchen or with other work and you will be accepted.....PLUR

beautiful...I would love it to be in Arkansas (lived there way back in the day). Would be great to wander (wonder?) around the Ozarks again like old times.

no...still down to arkansas, oklahoma, or texas. i'm hoping for arkansas since it's the closest to me, but i'm not sure i'll even be able to make it if it is there seeing as i'll just be getting home from a three week long roadtrip

i can't find anything regarding the location besides that it won't be decided until spring council mid june, this month.

we have 4th july free of children, and want to go.

I'll be there if it is in AR. They will almost certainly have it in the Ozark National Forest if they do it here (beautiful!).

Depending on where it would be in OK or TX I might go. I'm not driving to the west side of TX or anything though.
