I've actually been able to sit in rooms with crystal being passed around and never give in. Recently I've taken 1-2 month long breaks from crystal as well, not using any at all. I can use once in a month, then not touch it for the following 30 days.
That being said I always replace one drug with another....a serious underlying issue I need to address.
To answer your question more directly....it took me some serious awful meth binges-- where I thought I was dying, etc,.....to finally be able to turn the other way and really reconsider what I was doing. Being up for days on end is also just ridiculous.
Maybe consider the ridiculousness of meth. Its easy for me to turn it down now because I've been there....the end of the road is malnutrition, severe lack of sleep, "geeking" to the point of psychosis, etc,...and the other conundrum with Ice is that I can only get "so high" off it after 2 or 3 days. If there is more and more meth being consumed, it just stops working after so long.
Its hard to say what I want without sounding like I support meth use or abuse, but here goes. Get your kicks out, it worked for me. On the bright side you will always walk away with a lesson learned. Sometimes we really have to "go there" to finally get sick and tired enough of our DOC's and more importantly fully understand them inside and out, and why we want to hurt ourselves.
I'll end with this:
Crack is way, way worse than anything I've gone through on meth.
