Ok guys it may sound like a case of first world problems but i quit smoking in feb of 2009 and it took a couple of years til i was smoke free but in all honesty i haven't had a smoke for 3 or more years but i still chew about ten pieces of nicotine gum a day and still wear a 21 mg of nicotine patch every day. I was thinking for NYE to go down to the lower nicotine patch and try and taper my way off them and the gum. But going without nicotine replacement scares me. I don't know how i'll go i was such a hopeless smoker, easily 2 packs a day when i smoked and don't get me wrong i am so happy to be cigarette free but i don't know if i have in me to be nicotine free. Any tips from people have quit would be helpful. The nicotine replacement costs me 80 dollars a fortnight which is nothing compared to what smokes cost in my home town ( 24 dollars a packet of 25)
