1st. My "religion" i don't assign myself to any particular religion. that is because i don't like the idea of committing to a set of ideals laid out by... well anyone really. however i think Taoism is a pretty good way to live your life because its about living in harmony with nature and i think as humans thats all we can be expected to do reasonably.
2nd my take on religion i think its awesome in concept but is often executed poorly, but were humans i'd only expect it to be an imperfect institution. i like that it tries to bring people together, but i think many wars throughout history could indicate that religion has done a better job separating people. i look at religion like most things it has both positive negative impact.
3rd since you want to be challenged here is my thought process on why your religion cannot be trusted. also bear in mind although this is a theory of mine im simply playing the devils advocate because i've been asked to
since the very start of civilization(as in when commerce and goods started being traded for so called "precious" stones or paper money) man has been on a quest for private property and money because there is a misconception that more things=more happiness.
The ancient Egyptian's lived in a theocracy and the Pharaoh is known as the sun priest he "worships Ra(the sun god) for the people" so that way the people just have to worship Pharaoh by building his cities, paying him tribute and making him their leader. this gets pharaoh a lot of seemingly extravagant things.
Now whether ancient Egypts religion was built on one mans quest for power and money i cant say. but i definitely can say that at some point in time i don't doubt someone noticed being able to tell a really convincing story about why were here and what happens when you die will get people to give you damn near all their money and simply exploited it.
and since you want a personal attack on christianity i think Catholicism where christianity got its start was clearly full of corruption. look at the church of england. however this is speaking about an institution. i would like to wrap this up with saying that i think jesus had a pretty awesome message but i think some people have turned it into something not so great.
being that i dont commit to anything i'm very interested hearing your side of your religion. like what makes you think Jesus is who i should pray to, what if the jews were right?
