Question on preparation for UK police visit regarding kratom

Hello I am from the UK
Please go gently and don't say I am paranoid, as this happens in the UK.
I ordered 2kg from Indonesia, which was posted on 8th April.
It arrived in the UK on 4th May.
It has not moved since.
I ordered two shipments from Sweden in May and they both cleared customs.
I don't want to just assume "all will be ok" this is because I have heard of people say they know people who had police visit their homes for 1kg.
I have heard of the police confiscating phones and laptops and searching homes.
One person even told me they got a customs letter, and a month later, a police visit for a small amount of benzos from India.
I hear that customs seize indonesian parcels mostly.
I want to prepare, by getting rid of all evidence, but it's proving a real hassle as I realise everything I have to do.
I take kratom every day, I have tapered down from 42 grams a day to 20 and I want to continue my taper.
I take my dose in divided doses throughout the day, starting about 7 and finishing at 9pm, so I need access to it, yet I don't want to be charged if the police find evidence.
I have been advised to hide my phone and laptop.
If I get a new cheap phone, would I have to change my number?
How am I going to continue to safely taper off if I have to hide the kratom?
Where would I hide it, I don't know anyone who moves in those circles?
I don't want to assume it's just waiting in a queue to be processed as I cannot be certain, and as I cannot rule out a police visit I feel I have to be prepared.
Thanks

Put your shit at a friend's house until the heat is off you. Phone, laptop etc
What if I don't have anyone I trust/anywhere to hide.
I have one trusted friend but I don't trust the dodgy people who get in my friend's home.
Would they search my shed or rubbish bins?

I'm in the US and they wouldn't go through the hassle for kratom. Is it a serious offense there?

It's illegal under the psychoactive substances act 2016.
It is not even classified, however, I have spoken to quite a few people online who have had police visits.
Some of them have had laptops confiscated, phones confiscated, even for small amounts like 1kg.
One person got a customs letter, ignored it, thought no more of it, then, a month later, got a police visit.
I want to know what to say to them if they ask for my email address.
I also want to know what to say if they ask where I got it.
If they come to me, I will tell them I did not know it was illegal as it is not classified as class A, B or C, but it is deffo illegal.

I don't know the laws there so I can't really help you man. Sorry and good luck.

How did you pay for it? Credit card or bitcoin? Credit cards are easier to trace.

dont assume you are caught yet - if it was bitcoin what evidence have they that you ordered it? A friend couldve sent it - or an enemy to get you caught. If they come to your house it will be what they find in your house that you get charged with so clean your house and - yeah they will seize your computer so make sure you delete incriminating shit.

i got caught in operation ismene (they even named it after me) - they never even charged me with ordering class a from america - just what they found in the house - a thousand mushroom capsules and a 15" black rubber cock.

Ignorance is no excuse unfortunately. It really all depends what they find in the house - if they dont find shit tell them you have no idea who sent it. And DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT admit to ordering anything from abroad cos you will be charged with impprtation of drugs then. Just say you have no idea - thats your best bet. And dont talk to them at the station without a solicitor. If they dont find anything in the house they might say "wil you admit to it so we can give you a caution" - have a think about that beforehand. I would be tempted to just say you have no idea who sent it - would your job be affected by drugs on your conviction list?

And research kratoms legal status yourself cos the average solicitor wont have a clue.

Thanks for suggesting have no idea who sent it.
Could they do a thorough search?
Are you from the UK?
I don't want it to come to where I would need a solicitor.
I don't have a job unfortunately.
I am only scared because I have now heard of a few people who got home visits from the police even for small amounts.
I am autistic and naive in all of this, why would they take me to the station?
I did research kratom's legal status, and found it's not class A, B or C, so I don't know why they are wasting resources they could spend on real crimes, on kratom, but it appears that they are.

Yeah I'm in the UK.

I'd say your 70-30 safe, it's unlikely they'll come. I had 5g of 4-aco-dmt from Kiev stopped at customs about 12 months ago and heard nothing more about it. But if they do come you need a clean house. That's the key. If they don't find anything in your house I can't see them taking the Kratom forward. Especially if you say you have no idea who ordered it. But, I must stress again, don't say you ordered if from abroad - because that's just straight to court for "importation of drugs". I said I ordered mescaline cactus from abroad - because I thought dried cactus was legal - and they instantly charged me with importation. (Even tho san pedro cactus IS legal - both the police and my solicitor just assumed it was illegal and I was too inexperienced to know how to change that.. 3 months after I was charged with possession of cactus a head shop in the UK was charged with the same thing and the court found dried cactus was legal)

So
1 Clean your house. Find a good hiding place for your daily kratom (under the floorboards, buried in the garden etc)
2 Delete shit from your computer about ordering drugs.

Then forget about it.

The Novel Psychoactive substance Act is confusing and arbritary, but as far as I can make out, possessing anything deemed 'psychoactive' (that isn't already legal like alcohol or illegal like cannabis) is legal, but importing/selling/supplying it is illegal. Kratom is definitely included in the act.

If you think you may be a risk, I concur with others' advice: Give your computer a good cleaning - delete history/cookies and any emails related to kratom. Don't buy from abroad again. Get anything that might fall under the Act or is already controlled off your premises. Hope for the best - try not to worry. This is not legal advice (nobody here is qualified to give you that) but I think common sense

There's a very good chance you will never hear again about it 3d - and if you do - if your house is clean then you are 95% clear. You can't just charge somebody with "importing drugs" cos they intercepted something at the border. If it was that easy every time I wanted to get someone in trouble I'd just send them a parcel marked "heroin" and they'd get 10 years. Right? So unless they can find evidence on your computer or drugs in your house - you are clear.

And one thing - if they do come and confiscate your computer you could be without a computer for 6 months - so make sure you copy everything you need onto another hard drive just to be safe.

Hello - I take it you are from the UK as you used the word "solicitor" instead of lawyer. Is that right.
Please can you clarify, do you mean a 30% chance I will get a visit, or a 70% chance.
I heard that UK customs are more likely to seize indonesian Kratom because of the way it is packaged.
Did you not even get a letter from customs?
I don't have anywhere trustworthy I can hide stuff.
I have a shed, and a bin shed.
Thanks for advising me to say I had no idea who ordered it.
"The Mix" website says San Pedro cacti can be bought and sold legally if not intended for human consumption.
I do not want this to go to the stage of me needing a solicitor.
I don't have a garden.
I would have to hide my phone, laptop, iPad, and all the cables, power adapters, leads etc, external hard drives, I have a big box full.
No way can I bury that in our garden, its communal and just a patch of grass that the housing association gardener cuts.
I know people who say they had laptops and phones confiscated when the police visited them about kratom, some, small amounts of kratom.
Sorry to sound paranoid.
Part of me wants to just forget the whole thing, as it's a big hassle, but another part of me wants to be prepared, so that if the worst comes to the worst, they can pin nothing on me.
Thanks so far, if I have any more questions, can I come and ask you?

Hi, and thanks for your reply.
My problem is that I have no way of getting a clean house, as I have nowhere to hide anything, I don't know anyone trustworthy who moves in those types of circles.
I know the likelihood of them visiting is small, but I cannot rule it out, as it has happened to some people.
One person got a letter from customs, ignored it, put it behind them, and then got a visit from the police.

I live in a top floor flat, with nowhere to hide my big box of computer related stuff, leads, external hard drives, etc etc.
The kratom takes up a large volume of space.
I thought of putting it in the wheelie bin, however, their warrant might say they can search the bins, and if I do hide it in the bin and the warrant says they can search the bins, then I am stuffed.
My question now, is, if I have nowhere to hide my computer, phone and iPad, as people have had these confiscated for kratom, how can I get a clean house?
Yeah I heard it takes months to get computers back if confiscated.

Thanks for your post, if I have anymore questions, please can I ask you. I just want to be safe, yet have nowhere to hide my stash, computer, phone etc. I am naive when it comes to stuff like this. I have never in my drug career, got involved with the police regarding drugs.

Thank you for your post.
I have kratom in my flat, so I am at risk.
I think I need to do more than clean my computer, as I have heard people get their computer and phone confiscated.
I thought of hiding stuff in the wheelie bin, but they may have a warrant that says they can search my bin. I did some research on this last night.
I think your advice about getting stuff off my premises is an excellent idea, but I know nobody who can hide my stuff in their homes, as I don't move in those types of circles.
So, the bin is risky, I have no garden, I have no one who can hide it for me, I wonder what else I can do to ensure a clean house.
I realise no one is qualified to give legal advice, my goal is, if I get a visit, for the police to go away without charging me, yet I don't know where I can hide the evidence.
