if you can afford to purchase your prescription, you can just take it to a pharmacy you have never been to, tell them you don't have prescription coverage and you should not have a problem. i have done this often, yesterday and today in fact. a lot of the pharms are linking up so cvs will kno you just got filled at wallgreens, IF you use your insurance both places. that's what will send up the red flag.
ao cough up the cash if you can and find a pharm where they don't know you & it should be all good. hope this helps. good luck!

It's not worth trying if it could potentially screw up your future pain management. Just because some people have been able to get away with it in NJ or some other state, doesn't mean you can in California. In fact, I recall someone on here from California that was trying to get the same adderall script filled a few weeks apart and they were told right away that it said in the computer that they just got the same script filled from a different pharmacy less than 2 weeks prior. Instead of insurances and pharmacies separately having your prescription info, some states have systems that allow all pharmacies and physicians to share info stored in the state database to know your prescribing history. That means that even if you go to different pharmacies and pay cash, it will raise a red flag. Wait until the month prescription is almost out and bring it to get filled.

Also, a little piece of advice: Don't go off on a mod for trying to help you, and then go on a rant about how you are just using them for pain when your username is JusTrynaNod.

Edit: To the person(s) from NJ talking about being able to get away with it there, you should read this article about the new prescription monitoring system they just implemented there.

This would be a different situation if the doctors knew about eachother, or you were prescribed something different. There's. No way to explain to your new doc that you'd be filling the same script early, even if you don specify that its been so short a time? If this is really your ONLY option and you can't find some way, any way to justify a whole script in one week, go to a very poor mom and pop type pharmacy. Wait there and if they say there's a doctor shopping issue, try and explain the whole doctor thing in some manor that would make them assume the doctors know and such I guess. How and more importantly why'd you go through your script in a week? I understand being I'm pain, but there's a point where you're gonna have to have a backup plan before it happens, you know?

yo itsok, how do you know that the other pharmacy won't see when i give them my name and address that it was filled a week ago from today? i was thinking about this, but then i was like this could be really sketchy. are you like, 100% positive that if i walk into a pharmacy i don't usually go to with my hard copy script, hand it to them, then when they ask me my name and address and type it into the computer, nothing will come up? i just find that shit so hard to believe. I'm not trying to even do anything sketchy with this medicine, this is NEEDED. i have a 4 page mri & catscan that makes doctors shiver, its just out here on the west coast regardless of your condition they just fucking hate pain pills for pain management. well what the fuck else is there? anyways, again, not here for any moral issues, i know whats good.>

I know bc the pharmacies arent linked up. im banned for narcotics from CvS bc of prescription fraud. but i go to shoprite and pathmark. grocery stores seem to be the best for whats in stock and price. although ive heard priceplus warehouse clubs are cheap too. i have a lot of experience.
Esp if u dont use insurance, u will be fine. say u dont have any. or forgot ur card. go somewhere u havent gone b4 w ur new insurance

My sympathys dude, i'm in a similar boat right now & yes it is a bugger of a weekend. I'm 23 & am also in chronic pain. Shucks my dear.

Yes, I am aware of that, but you missed my point: ask the doctor for a script for an entirely different drug.
Yes, which is what he SHOULD have done before he accepted the script for the Roxys. He can try to come clean and ask for something different, but nonetheless, he'd have some explaining to do as to why a month's worth was gone in a week. This dude belongs on an ER med anyway, him only being on IR meds doesnt make any sense. I wonder if he sold off all his OPs or something he isn't letting on.

A guy so consumed by pain has chosen an incriminating name: JustTryaNod ? Just trying to Nod, eh? Sounds like someone I should have lots of sympathy for.
