Opioids Question about filling script early, please help.

Whats goin on guys, over here, straight feelin like shit. Out of medication, it is what it is though, not gonna go searching to obtain them illegally, just not worth the troubles. Anyways, I have had 4 failed shoulder surgeries & recently over here in my state regular Doctors are sending any patients to pain-management that is prescribed any kind of pain medication. This fucked me over, even though I live in California & have a Prop 215 Card to medicate cannabis legally (only thing that lets me live a semi pain free NON addictive life) but its still FEDERALLY illegal, and my THC levels are not just high, they are fucking wild. This totally fucked me over, and its bullshit being that I truly need this medicine for my pain & do not sell it or do anything sketchy with it besides take it myself (I admit it, when I have them, the willpower is not there, when they are gone, there gone) so Pain Management drug tests. Fuck that, i do no other drugs, just my prescription and stupid amounts of cannabis. Anyways, I went to the new Pain Management doctor after waiting fucking 2 months for an Appt and just decided when they drug test me, whatever, whats the worst the can happen? They let me go? I have my card so I can't get arrested which is my main concern. Im trying to mentally prepare myself that this is not a nightmare and in fact real life. This shit has been a lifestyle for me (like 2 weeks out of the month) since my first shoulder dislocation at 14, now 21. I live in terrible pain but cannabis honestly takes care of that and lets me live semi comfortable. Anyways, back to the original question, I am prescribed 60 15mg roxycodones a month and my original Doctor filled my script exactly a week ago today (Lol I know don't laugh) but my new doctor wrote the script out yesterday for me (exactly the same written as on the bottle so its not like the pharmacy won't see that) but the thing is its a different Doctor & its dated for yesterday. My mom bugged out on me and was like fuck you don't be stupid, but i have payed for my scripts up to 7 days early but obviously insurance won't cover it. I meen, how is it illegal what I am doing? I was written this script, but obviously I'm scared of them saying "Yo you were like just filled that shit 7 days ago my man....you got some problems". If I go to a separate pharmacy will it be fine? Im not trying to do anything illegal, I'm just asking a legit question. Yeah, I don't want to fucking hear "Oh you trying to get it filled early cause your a fiend". No, I'm not fucking asking about the morality issues of it, I'm asking what the truth is and what will happen if I bring this to another pharmacy (got last one filled at CVS). thank you guys, hope u all have a better weekend than me.

Yea theyre not gonna fill it if they know you just got it filled. I would wait till your supposed to get it filled there is no reason to lose your pain meds over it.

Appreciate the responses. The Restless Legs are fucking throbbing right now. It is what it is though. I always tough it out in 5 days. Oh well. I meen, the fuckin script is a hard copy script. No reason why a Pharmacy shouldn't fill it. I just don't want to get into any kind of trouble when I truly am not trying to do anything wrong, my new pain management doctor just gave me the script. Pretty sure regardless of whether I go to a different pharmacy or not they still will look up my name & see that I got the same exact script a week ago today. But for all the Pharmacist knows, I could have been upped from my usual 60 to 120 a month and he was giving me my extra 60. Whatever man, fuck this weekend. Thank you guys.

i dont know how it is in CALI but in NJ. AS long as you dont go to the same brand pharmacy you should be good.
I get subs from two different doctors. And Take One To CVS and One To Rite Aid. Towards The End Of The Month They Always OverLap If you get what im saying. The Computer Systems In The Different Pharmacys Don't Link UP To Know If You Got A Script Somewheres Else In A Different Pharmacy. And Bascially Think Of A Pharmacy You Have Been To B4 That Is Not CVS, So You Can Go In And Say You Have Already been in the system there and got something. It probably would still be fine but so they don't have to add you to the system it won't look bad. You need to go in not looking sick, that is the biggest thing. And if you don't have another pharmacy that you werent in, find a Mom And Pop Pharmacy, All they will do is call the doc to make sure its legit. And of course you have to say right off the bat you dont have insurance so you have to pay cash. Mom and Pop Pharmacy would be your best bet though. But you should be fine. Just Play The Part.

yo itsok, how do you know that the other pharmacy won't see when i give them my name and address that it was filled a week ago from today? i was thinking about this, but then i was like this could be really sketchy. are you like, 100% positive that if i walk into a pharmacy i don't usually go to with my hard copy script, hand it to them, then when they ask me my name and address and type it into the computer, nothing will come up? i just find that shit so hard to believe. I'm not trying to even do anything sketchy with this medicine, this is NEEDED. i have a 4 page mri & catscan that makes doctors shiver, its just out here on the west coast regardless of your condition they just fucking hate pain pills for pain management. well what the fuck else is there? anyways, again, not here for any moral issues, i know whats good.

like i said this is a HARD copy script from a totally separate doctor (no, I'm not fucking doctor shopping, my regular doctor referred me to pain management because she wasn't allowed to fill pain pills anymore. it took me 2 months to get that appt). so please keep that in mind that it isn't the same doctor, which makes me think it would either go through and be fine or the total opposite direction. this is like 1 of those things that you know just isn't gonna work out but you keep trying to tell yourself maybe.

appreciate that response toxic, for real. i actually just had to transfer from wal greens to cvs a few months ago. i look great (not trying to sound cocky what so ever trust me I'm far from perfect I'm just saying i don't look sick at all & a respectable person). i just don't know man, i have such a fucking bad gut feeling about this. i honestly would even feel better if it was fucking 14 days, but its 7 days dude hahahahahahahah. i honestly am so fucking confused right now and it BAFFLES me that if i walk into wal greens they won't see that shit when they look my name & address up.


also please keep in mind it says the EXACT same script on the bottle from last week. its the same amount, same time, etc. if it was a different amount that would be no question, id be able to get that filled from CVS. its all about how its written.`

Yes, this is what will more than likely happen. Pharmacists call doctors when patients attempt to fills scripts early, and they keep the scripts.

Exactly--it doesn't matter if you're paying cash or not--the pharmacy will attempt to use your insurance benefit first.

Why don't you explain your situation to your physician and ask for a similar medication?

yeah but its a different doctor. and in NJ you have to supply a Insurance card...you tell them bright off the Bat you are paying cash. If you went to WalGreens for opiates then thats even better. But no matter what you are on record there...But I still think you should go to a mom and pop shop and soon because if your docs off closes they cant contact the doc. The first thing you do is..go there and say before i hand this is..can you tell me if you have them in stock. Seriously its about 90% chance everything will be fine. If you are that sick, just rock it. You hand it in after they say they got it...and say ok thank you ill be back in half hour, your going to pick up dinner or something and is that long enough? It looks worse if you sit there and wait. If you leave and come back then its not a HUGE priority for them, and like i said most likely they will just contact the doc on the script to make sure its legit. Plus Mom And Pop Shops are struggling in this economy also, so a Cash payment of 60 roxys is really nice. They need cash just like everyone.

Missykins: there is no substitution on a schedule II narcotic. the OP's "situation" is that he used his entire month's script up in one week. there is no pharmacist in the world to have sympathy for that.

OP - what you SHOULD have done is explain to your Pain Mngment Doc that you had just rcvd your Roxy 15 script a week prior. You held that information from him, obvously, or he wouldnt have written you a new one. What he COULD have done however, had you told him that your ROxy 15s weren't working for you anymore, was either add more to your current script, or write you something else.
I find it hard t believe that you are only Rxed an instant release med on and not an ER med as a pain patient. So, are you Rxed something else, like OPs?

Honesty with your BRAND NEW pain doc would have been the best policy. Now when you go back to see him next month, you'll be in the same damn situation - so you better come clean at that point.

good try bro, but unlike mots people on this site i have REAL pain and REAL conditions. you try having 4 failed shoulder surgeries. i got sent to fucking pain management and written a script, nothing illegal involved here, good try tho, id love to see you try to live a day in my fucking pain. i just got back from my pain management new doctor which is ther eason this happened cause the original doctors cant prescribe them anymore. really good try brah! he wrote it differently and feels terrible about my condition, no surgeons can do ANYTHING else for me after 4 faield surgeries have to LIVE like this and im only 21. id love for you to have Degenerative Shoulder Disease.never have i obtained anything illegally OR done heroin hahahahaha good try

i believe theres a separate set of rules for people with REAL pain.
