wow this is turning into a monster thread. and altho it is just a conversation between a couple of people i know that a lot of people here want to know about all this.
um quick easy question first: gas spectro testing is the testing they do on the dancesafe site, which gives a full chemical breakdown of the contents of the pill, ie does it have MDMA, or MDEA, or MDA or speed or caffeine.
to do this a whole pill (sorry whoever asked if they could have the pills back, you cant
) and crush it and put it in a gas spectrometer which determines its exact chemical make up by the different frequencies of light it refracts (if my high school physics serves me right, anyone feel free to give a better explanation).
in america they have the problem that the DEA wont allow them to publish quantitive data, ie how much of each chemical is in each pill. this is why the reports on dancesafe only list the qualitative data, which chemicals are present.
in europe there seems to be no restrictions so sites like eve have both the chemical and amount.
um and that was the easy question?
ok the tricky part is wether or not Rave Safe, a government funded body, would want to align themselves with us, a pro-drug bunch of internet pirates.
personally i think they'd be mad to not use this great resource of knowledge and people we got going here, but when it comes to the crunch they may choose not to.
please do not hassle them on this point yet. i am only bringing it up to show what they might think. right now we dont know. lets give them the benefit of the doubt ok?
