Just because methylmethaqualone is more potent does not make it more euphoric. Look at the more euphoric benzos, they're generally not the most potent.

Oddly though, I can't find anything indicating that methylmethaqualone is actually more potent. It could be, but the methyl is on the phenyl ring. Shouldn't that make it less potent, actually? I'm thinking of PEAs, which definitely don't transfer over here.
