GG Allin started off with that rock/popish sound as well. But he was definitely punk.

When I think of "Pop punk", I think of like.. Green Day shit.


but when comparing punk and everyone considered punk sonically, there's huge differences,

Which leads me back to my question.... Is punk an attitude or is punk a sound? I don't think anyone can truly answer that.


IMO punk is dead anyway. Or at least what we use to consider "punk" is.

You have bands doing blast beats & d-beats with guttural vocals (grindcore/crust) which is punk.

But you also have the rockish, classic punk sound with the simplistic riffs.

And then you have bands like "Suicide" who were completely electronic and considered "punk".

Fucked if I know. I mean melt banana are headlining mpf next week, and I don't consider them a punk band but who am I to contradict the organisers? Does it matter?

I said does it matter? Not it doesn't matter. I'm not condescending you. Literally, my opinion on what punk rock is does not matter.

many love AccaDacca(AC/DC)but alot get agro if you say barbie, no wuckas(worries), but yah better if you live in the woop woop(sticks) and need of a bottle shop, youre true blue if you want your Tea(dinner) but not with root rats(slutties) and its best to speak with your cobber (ol friend) with your teeth clenched cos` of the flies. she`ll be apples after a smoko watching the shark biscuits(kids on the beach)
