Punk Fuckin Rock

do you mean Warsaw?

well it wasn't just anti homosexuality, he had actually been convicted of what we in the USA would call a hate crime. that's different than HR just not liking gays. tim armstrong playing with him sent a fucking terrible message.

and CV/LoC is great.

^armstrong was convicted of a hate crime or HR? that just fucking sucks then. i still like their music though.

love the mediocre generica album, along with chocking victim, rancid is okay, when they try to do ska they are alot better than when they do punk. op ivy is great.

also love:

first suicidal tendencies
circle jerks group sex.

filaments are a great ska core band

older against all authority.

so much great stuff out there.
agree with the bolded out section up there^
suicidal tendencies was great
circle jerks were great
haven't heard filaments but i will check them out
AAA is pretty good too
I've always had a soft spot for Joy Division. Why do the best singers always have to kill themselves?

The Transplants are pretty good too. Travis Barker is an awesome drummer. Garnier Fructis kind of ruined this song for me though.

i have to make a correction. travis barker is a good showman, not a good drummer.

EDIT:
good drummers are as follows
Dennis Chambers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ues2RBpXQoI&feature=related
Ronald "Jr" Dorsey
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_4mEKZyhrI
Terry Bozzio

and of course neil peart.

^it is my belief that you are incorrect. i have an expansive music taste, and i agree some of them are socially alienated and not liked by many people other than myself.

in relation to the travis barker thing, i never said he wasn't good. he's a solid drummer, and a great performer with lots of energy, but there are so many GREAT, OUSTANDING, and even FUCKING EPIC drummers out there.

Do you know how to read? I don't like him all that much but you should realize it's hard to deny you said something when its written wright above your denial.

Being able to play a drum solo doesn't make you a good drummer. Ringo Starr is a horrible fucking drummer yet he is one of the greatest drummers that ever existed.
well fuck me. sorry about that. i didn't mean to say he wasn't good. i meant to say he's not an amazing drummer. i can see why people like him (showmanship as previously noted) but i do agree that i did say that, and i would like to correct myself with this post.

also: "Ringo Starr is a horrible fucking drummer yet he is one of the greatest drummers that ever existed." contradictory statement there. he is horrible, but one of the greatest drummers that ever existed? doesn't make any sense.

ringo was a decent and very solid drummer, who was perfect for the beatles, and absolutely TERRIFIC in the beatles, but compared to others out there, you are correct. he wasn't very good.

this gets a +1
i like leftover crack.

leftover crack is the shit, their live performances are very tight and sound like the album.

rancid has the fucking drummer from the used... THE USED, those fucking tools that make out with eachother on stage so teeny-boppers will make their parents buy them concert tickets.
for letting that guy play with them voided every rancid album, for me.

^didn't know that

i enjoy the used every once in awhile though.

Rancid + The Used = what the fuck?

i still like rancid's music though

there was a time I enjoyed Rancid
I enjoy Lars Frederiksen & The Bastards

well I can pretty much say I enjoy pretty much anytrhing Hellcat records does

Tim Armstrong = lost one of the hottest chicks on the planet to a way hotter and way better musician, then he tried to beat Homme up in a bar, and lost. Armstrong, you are a loser.

The only thing redeeming in that band is Lars Fredrickson.

And even then, not so much.

are you serious? this posts disgusts me. have you even heard the first two Rancid albums, before Lars was around? Don't get me wrong, I love "and out come the wolves', that was the album that introduced me to them, but it was the beginning of the end, and lars totally coup de tat'ed the band.

lars fredrickingwhatever is a jackoff.

Check out Axiom. crusty metal punk in all it's glory. this is what punk is about. fuck capitalism. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUu5PfsbBxo

Used to be really into punk... still have a lot of punk friends, and associate with politically radical types, but I don't listen to the genre any more. I can't stand what I see as the insularity in the scene, to be honest, so not only have I drifted away from it but I've been pushed away from it. For all their talk of free-mindednes and liberation and what not, there are a hell of a lot of punks who seem to think that anyone who doesn't dress like them or listen to their music or think completely like them is someone not worth being around. Different lifestyles, oh my god, how threatening...

Lars definitely played on Rancid's second release "let's go". I am however not going to disagree with you in Lars being a jackoff.

on another note listen to World/Inferno Friendship Society and Mischief Brew.

^thank you! obscure californian punk bands are awesome.

EDIT: eh? you've got 54 posts yet you've been here for more than 2 years?
