Punk Fuckin Rock

i just saw the gayest guy on earth
i just saw the gayest guy on earth
he has purple dreadlocks
has his eyebrow pierced
hangs out with toxic narcotic

Black Flag
Minor Threat
Bad Brains
Bad Religion
Circle Jerks
Buzzcocks
Flipper
F.Y.P.
Furious George

and a ton more.

of course i listen to punk.

There are some great punk bands. Germs is probably my favorite.

Germs
The Dwarves
Dead Kennedys
X
Rancid
Dayglo Abortions
The Ramones

Tim Armstrong = lost one of the hottest chicks on the planet to a way hotter and way better musician, then he tried to beat Homme up in a bar, and lost. Armstrong, you are a loser.

The only thing redeeming in that band is Lars Fredrickson.

And even then, not so much.

I love Rancid. Tim Armstrong made a pretty good reggae album too. Rancid was excellent when I saw them play in Oakland, its unfortunate that Rise Against was headlining. That is the worst fucking band I've ever seen.

also, armstrong is a fuck for telling leftover crack that they couldn't put certain images on their album cover(why its called mediocre generica), and for saying that it was totally okay to do songs with musicians who openly hated gays because "that shit is not my issue."

Left over crack sucks anyway. Indestructible, Out Come the Wolves, and Rancid (2000) were amazing albums.

^i actually like leftover crack.

i don't blame armstrong for staying out of the drama about anti homosexuality, but i really hate bands who discriminate against gays. I lost a ton of respect for the bad brains when i found out H.R. hated gays.

love the mediocre generica album, along with chocking victim, rancid is okay, when they try to do ska they are alot better than when they do punk. op ivy is great.

also love:

first suicidal tendencies
circle jerks group sex.

filaments are a great ska core band

older against all authority.

so much great stuff out there.

do you mean Warsaw?

well it wasn't just anti homosexuality, he had actually been convicted of what we in the USA would call a hate crime. that's different than HR just not liking gays. tim armstrong playing with him sent a fucking terrible message.

and CV/LoC is great.

^armstrong was convicted of a hate crime or HR? that just fucking sucks then. i still like their music though.

agree with the bolded out section up there^
suicidal tendencies was great
circle jerks were great
haven't heard filaments but i will check them out
AAA is pretty good too
I've always had a soft spot for Joy Division. Why do the best singers always have to kill themselves?

The Transplants are pretty good too. Travis Barker is an awesome drummer. Garnier Fructis kind of ruined this song for me though.

i have to make a correction. travis barker is a good showman, not a good drummer.

EDIT:
good drummers are as follows
Dennis Chambers

Ronald "Jr" Dorsey
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_4mEKZyhrI
Terry Bozzio

and of course neil peart.

^it is my belief that you are incorrect. i have an expansive music taste, and i agree some of them are socially alienated and not liked by many people other than myself.

in relation to the travis barker thing, i never said he wasn't good. he's a solid drummer, and a great performer with lots of energy, but there are so many GREAT, OUSTANDING, and even FUCKING EPIC drummers out there.
