pull-out method

A girl i went to school with who was dating a very catholic boy was using the pull out and timing method and she's got a baby now.
She's 19.

She also didn't realise she was pregnant until she was 5 months, and she could not have had an abortion even if she wanted one - she is a very skinny girl and she still bled every month!

So she got married 2 months after they found out.
 
Hey guys, I need some help.

Recently myself and my girlfriend were enjoying ourselves in a river.
Things began to get a little heated and i inserted my penis into her vagina but only for a little over 2 seconds. I was wondering if anyone could help me or put my mind to ease about this. What are the odds that she could fall pregant? Would the water in the river change the circumstances in any way??? Her period ended around 5 days ago, what would this mean? I'm extremely worried and unable to take my mind of it.

the chances of her falling pregnant, because you penetrated her for 2 seconds, without ejaculating (I hope, otherwise you dont last very long at all)....above all whilst you were in a river is absolutely next to nothing.
 
i really hope so...she wont go get the pill coz she is 99% positive that she wouldnt be...but i'm a very paranoid person when it comes to something like this. Sorry for posting it twice by the way, i wasnt sure if anyone would find it at the end of this thread.

I'd appreciate more opinions if u guys could help, thanks so much :)
 
^^^ On planned parenthoods website they have a section where you can see when shes ovulating. One is temp, another is the mucus texture of vaginal secretions, and the calander method is the other I believe.
 
ive only read the first page of this and i am astounded at how many people are using this method and believe it is ok. i mean obviously men would be going along with this idea more than women "yeah fuck babe i'll pull my shit out no sweat" but i cant believe women actually let men do this. it has to be the stupidest thing to do unless you were going with this guy for a long time and actually wanted a baby, in which case why bother pulling out at all.

i feel sorry for the children that get born this way. i for one know that i would not have the self control to pull out given the opportunity if i was about to blow. but hey thats me.
 
I am the father of a 2 1/2 year old boy that was conceived using the "pull out" method. I like another posted said never noticed pre-ejaculation while masturbating, but nonetheless she still got pregnant.

We are now married. We were engaged when she got pregnant, so that's not why we got married, but we were definately not trying. I am 100% sure I pulled out in time, and were were shocked at the outcome. She must have taken 100 of those take-home preg. tests!

It turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me, but I can tell you for sure that the pull-out method does not work. We are now trying to have another for about 6 months now and it hasn't happened yet, so you just never know. So many things have to happen simultaneously for pregnancy to occur, but if you're having unprotected sex, it will happen eventually. Could be the 1st or the 100th time, but it will.

So basically if you're using the pull-out method you're just rolling the dice. Pull out or not, you just never know when you could get pregnant. I don't mean to sound preachy, because when I was young I had a lot of casual sex too, but it really is important to choose your partners wisely and understand the risks involved in having sex with someone.
 
I'm not trying to be rude or insulting but pulling out is the dumbest form of contraception known to man.

The last thought in a man's mind before he is about to ejaculate is "hmmm, maybe I should remove my penis from this woman"

buy some condoms or have oral sex. pulling out is irresponsible, I'm surprised that so many people practice it
 
two part statement/question:

1. I HATE using condoms. I have yet to find a condom that fits me properly (generally too small - even "large"), and have had 3 break. I find it hard to maintain a strong errection because of the lack of feeling.

2. I have been using the birth control/pull out method. Would anyone agree that this would be fairly effective, or am I way off? Personally, I get more pleasure out of pulling out and "comming" in/on/around other areas of my partners body. :\

Did you even read this thread, even the post above yours? 8( It depends on how much of a drama getting someone pregnant is going to cause or how concerned you are about getting or giving someone a disease.

The lack of education in something so simple boggles the mind.8( 8(

without reading all thru the whole thread i have this to say about the pullout method.....

it doesnt work....youll get lucky for awhile...eventually she gets pregnant....and 4 abortions later youd think id have learned.....i have :) and got rid of that chick...
 
Birth control (the pill) + Pull out

I figure the combo is pretty effective
 
i wish i can say i always use condoms... but generally this is the method ive gone with

ive killed 3 of my kids (abortions) and this DUMB ASS FUCKING BITCH *cough* excuse me... my ex girlfriend is forcing me to become a father
 
If im dating a girl long term I make sure she is on birth control and I pull out. After 3 years of regular sex I never had a problem. If im having a one night stand which has only happened 3 times, I use a condom :D
 
Oh yeah, and if I just started dating a girl I will always use a condom in the beginning of the relationship. Trust needs to be built if were moving fast sexually.
 
People who use the "pull & pray method"and don't get pregnant for 2 years as some have mentioned here probably cannot get pregnant at all due to some medical reasons. Or you are just so lucky you should be winning a lottery at least once a month by these odds.

That is exactly how I used to be......

However.......

I (regretfully) admit that I've been using the "Irish Pullout" method with my GF for the last few months. She is now 3 weeks late. Needless to say I won't EVER be using this silly method again. We are going to the docs next week to have a check up. I knew it was a stupid thing to do but when we're in the moment it's very hard (for us at least). I really hate condoms (so does she). It's just like when you're at a party and someone offers you a line of something and you have to work the next day. You just can't say no, no matter how irresposible it is. As I said having her being 3 weeks late has been highly stressful and I will NOT be doing this silly thing ever again.....
