psychedelic without psychedelics

endohuasca haha
It is good to remember, though, that light deprivation may cause depression and and I don't doubt it would cause even psychotic states. Other problems are how you will get feed and go to the bathroom with no light. Someday I'll probably do some experiments with this too but somebody is needed to cook the meals. I'd lock myself in a bathroom for circa 2 weeks. lol

This being said, I understand your point Aetherius Rimor. I'm looking for information about this and sleep deprivation as well... Any results I'll share there.

Has anybody heard about sokushinbutsu? It's supposed to be a buddhist tradition, the monk is submitted to exaustive exercises and desnutrition, a toxic drink, light deprivation and isolation. Sounds a bit radical. haha

I don't plan to deprive myself of sleep at all, in fact you're supposed to sleep as much as you can until your body realizes it doesn't need any more melatonin. I think that overall it will be a very healing process especially if I can have my musical instruments with me.

On that taoism retreat website they claim that in the 2nd week you're doing things like advanced dream yoga, imagination expansion, and psychic games?!?? obviously these could just be advertisements of sorts but that sounds amazing to me.

Abso-freaking-lutely you can.

Actually, it wasn't until I was ~24 that I tried my first psychedelic, and upon doing so, I realized that it was simply inducing a very familiar state that I've visited countless times throughout my life, and still do often find myself in. For example, we've all been happy, affectionate and comfortable before, and taking a drug like opiates or molly simply pushes your brain into that familiar mind state of happiness. Psychedelics are the exact same thing, they simply push my mind into different kind of familiar mind state of depth and introspect.

'Endohuasca' is very real thing! :)

^I don't think it's the same thing at all, it may be similar, but it's introducing exogenous ligands with higher binding affinities/in much greater numbers than would ever be possible to achieve endogenously. So it seems reasonable to assume that qualitatively the experiences produced will not be the same as those induced using only endogenously available materials.

Yes. It is very possible.

^and that website describes all of the biological mechanisms behind the process.

Sounds like New Age shit to me. Just name a few factual pieces of data to give yourself an aura of legitimacy, then proceed to drape them in the language of an established spiritual tradition, add in some marketable technique, and kablamo you have yourself a $ making little scheme.
