I haven't listened to the entire album yet but I'll give it a plug... I got a free copy of Error Corrective - Fade Instinct. I'm liking what I hear so far! It's got that full-on edge & grunt without being too ridiculously full of trippy shit...

One of the dudes from Error Corrective (UK) has come to live in Adelaide for a while with his gf who is from here, and they came to my birthday doof last weekend... He gave me a CD, I introduced him to lots of people in our psy scene, he's a really awesome guy and it's so great to think he's going to be sticking around here for a while yet! :)

The album 'The Art of Being Non' from Talpa is one of the best psytrance albums I've heard in a while...or ever, definitely recommended.

Today I received Dimension 5 - Transdimensional. I'm sitting through the first listen and I have to tell you guys - this is Goa bliss at its peak. What an amazing blend of acid and alien melodies!

I can *almost* understand why this sometimes went for upwards of $1,000 USD on E-bay before it was re-released a couple of months ago.

Well I wouldnt spend a G on it, but yeah Dimension 5 is the real deal. 8o

The goa revival is on the move.

^^^I hope so, psy is getting somewhat stale. It seems the really psychedelic music is getting darker and darker which turns me off a bit... still can't get over Worldbrigde by Goa Gil, awesome evil music.

Yeah man, I think a lot of the underground has gone so dark its gone stupid. :| Goa Gil (and The Nommos) keep the balance of darkness and psychedelic fun though 8o .

Indeed, an impressive release. This is a good balance between melodic and crazy night music. The production is great, there are some great bassline and melody scale progressions. I'm not a big fan of full on, but this is a great album.

Been listening to FreQ-Gosub 20 recently which is a fantastic prog album. A definite move on from Strange Attractors. Its cool to hear stuff I've only heard live before on me speakers...

Also really enjoying the remix album of Antix Twin Coast Discovery, I haven't heard the new album yet, but this is a mad bunch of remixes from the iboga people. Very nice. Also been playing some nice psybreaksy stuff courtesy of Slackbaba '...and the beat goes Om'. Very nice indeed. Drink More Tea is a fantasic trippy song. :)

^the new Antix is really sweet. from what i've heard i prefer it to Twin Coast...

On other notes, I wanna hear some mixes/tracks from seuss .

i'll put something up next week - i'm on a self-imposed production moratorium until i finish my dissertation :)

^^^have you heard the new Vibrasphere yet? I've checked out some samples, sounds lucious as ever.

Perfect Stranger= Learning=Change is a great album, beatiful powerful progressive. Can't wait to see them at Phonoscope, or so the rumours do tell.

Have to respectfully disagree with you here mate, as I think it pales in comparison to Strange Attractors. It's certainly different, just...........not nearly as good.

I popped into this thread specifically to see if anyone had heard this. I saw them last week at the Glade festival for the first time, and they didn't disappoint: i.e. they were amazing!

Antix's new album is very good, but Vibrasphere's Exploring The Tributaries is exceptional, & just refuses to leave my stereo.

The production on it is just out of this fucking world. Listen to the slow-burning glory of Erosion in its entirety & weep at what a lush soundscape they've managed to craft. How do they do it? I dream of being able to produce with one thousandth of the skill of these guys, & as if to further confirm their brilliance the last 4 tracks are more chillout/downtempo and sound as if they've been plucked from the wings of celestial beings.

Put simply, if you're a fan of progressive music then you need to get this album.

^^^Right I'm getting it today. I saw Vibrasphere about a year ago in Aus; well, one of the guys (Rickard). Fantastic morning set.

I just find the latest FreQ album more captivating, less bland-feeling then Strange Attractors. :) Looking forward to hearing Sun Controlspecies' first album, only been waiting about 5 years. The samples sound wicked though

^I heard there was cars floating around...

Purchased Vibrasphere-Beyond The Tributraiers, absolutely splendid album. Nice change in procution style, still immense and huge. Definitey a more melodic album then previous stuff, with some nice elctro influences. My highlight trax so far are 'vertical', and 'wasteland'. I just wish someone would steal their compressors so they can leave the damn sidechaining out for a while. Boomwup

re: the new antix

are you guys talking about "wanderers" or is there another album i can't find?

that album was cool, and i enjoy listening to it, but i don't think there's anything on there that i would play out. it's really subdued and kinda minimal sounding.

yeah we're tlaking about wanderers. I think it's great. Awesome production. It would have a time and place to play out I think...picture a hungover afternoon, sun shining...beer in one hand and a spliff in the other. Grooving along to the minimal proggy goodness! =D
