would the use of mouth moisturizing sprays/artificial salivia such as the Biotene line of products prevent or slow down meth mouth?

Good oral hygiene in general is your best bet. Most of the supposed drug-related damage to the teeth comes from associated poor lifestyle, bad eating habits, more than as a necessarily unavoidable consequence of the drugs themselves.

good oral hygiene for sure a total must, also drink lots and lots of water all the time. alot of people forget to do that when there tweeaking. if youre tweeaking, and you dont want to drink water, try to anyway, even if its a sip here and there, you can get yourself used to it. good oral hygiene and water are the way to go.

Yes you hit the nail on the head with Biotene. Oral hygiene is very important yes and hydration even more so, but no amount of water will reactivate your salivary glands. Now I'm not saying there's not viscous chemicals that harm the mouth in all but the purest of pure meth. There most certainly is. In fact don't brush your teeth after smoking it for a long time it destroys the enamel. But dryness is probably 90% of the problem. Biotene essentially nullifies any dry sensation or sores or anything. Seriously. Biotene. Get it. But do still take care of your mouth. But biotene.

No joke, this is the 4th or 5th thread this week with the same exactly OP question. Did they run a 60 minutes episode on meth mouth or something that I didnt hear about?

-Good oral hygene, don't brush TOO often in one day, you can actually damage you gums quicker.
-Biotene mouth wash helps keep thedry mout way. This is very important and after using it a bit recently I can see it helps.
-Act Restoring Mouth wash (or equivalent generica brand). I don't believe the Act fights dry mouth, but it kills all the bad germs and such, and has flouride in it, so help strengthen your teeth back or and what not.
-Drink water
-Drink Gatorade
-Drink non caffeinated beverages

I not nearly knowledgable in chemistry to to know if this is true or not. There is a rumor going out that eating a tums or two, can help DE-acidify your mouth/saliva, slowing the decay process considerably.

I used ONLY Act Restore for about 3 month while on and off vaping various drugs. When I checked my teeth at the end of it, they looked fine. Helps get the taste out of your mouth too.

Also buy a "soft" rated tooth brush. Hurts less, healthily for gums, won't potentially scrape weak enamel off of teeth, 60% of the time everyime. Feels good too :)
