Hi BL
I have a few questions regarding prescriptions
First of all I have had back pain for years (injured my back bodyboarding, and also worked as a trolley boy after injury which only made it worse). I had also been diagnosed with mild scoliosis before this. Several years later and I have to crack my back every 2 mins or so, it is in constant pain and I fucking hate it. It hurts when i sit at computers writing reports for uni, when i try surf (which i do rarely now) and when i sleep.
Secondly I started doing drugs maybe a year and a half ago (not including weed which i smoked in high school). Eventually this led to me binging on meth and having a "heart attack" which i have no fucking idea what it really was, but i thought my heart had stopped and ended up running a few km's to the doc, who said my heart is going 190bpm and have me some valium. Anyways since then I have had panic attacks, that even come from drinking too much coffee, so basically i cut out all stimulants (which led me to oxy).
Now i have been prescribed xanax for the past 6 months, i rarely get panic attacks anymore (maybe 1 per 2 weeks), so use the rest of the xanax recreationally (with oxy or a few drinks). Now i have fuck all money so rarely can afford oxy, but it does wonders for my back pain (as well as getting me high). Also i have tried to get scripted oxy but all i got was codeine (why don't we have hydros here???) which was shit compard to the oc's.
My doc wont give me oc's, and If I was my doctor I probably wouldn't either as I seem like the typical drug seeker. But anyways, I want to know if I try to go to a different doc would they be able to;
1. know my past history? like see reports of my past drug use?
2. see that i am currently prescribed xanax?
3. do docs even prescribe oc's on first visit? i cannot waste money to go see a new doc and get codeine
4. i hear there is some stigma about prescribing benzos, but he gave me xanax the first visit i told him i was getting panic attacks, are oxys harder to get in general? or just this doc (he doesn't know i use them, probably suspects it though)
I understand that drugs are not a proper solution to pain, so have been saving up to see a chiro/physio when the uni sem is over. Thanks for any replies, and thanks for being an awesome forum, lots of helpful info here
(also sorry for bad spelling/grammar, xanax and a few beers to help me unwind from 8 hours of study today
)
