prescription question

count yourself lucky, a close friend recently wrecked into a tree, and broke his femur(sp?),(according to the doctor the nastiest break he had seen in his career) he was scripted hydrocodone 5/500 25 count, and after requesting 3 refills with success he was bumped down to tylenol 3s the 4th time.

although w/ the prescription narcotic problem in wv what it is, this may have had some influence w/ the doctor

although I am not in rural WV ( where the problem is the worst) Its WV nonetheless

The only advice I can give is, well, the advice I already gave - get an MRI and go from there.... even a buldging disc is enough to get you narcotics ... but the PT, this is a MUST, I mean, a good 3-6 months of PT is what you need before they (either your GP or pain mgmnt) will take you serious ..

Remember, as I devoted the very first chapter to in TAOS v2.0 (those I gave a copy of it to, fucking read it before asking questions, it's all in there) - you are trying to get BETTER, not get NARCOTICS ... so you need to go to yer PT 3 times a week for those 6 months because your goal is to be PAIN FREE, but hey, if after that PT has failed you, then you move on to other things ....

Getting huge amounts of prescription dope is a rather large endevour unless you TOTALLY fuck yerself up (visibaly) or if you are lucky enough to find a croaker, ifthe latter is the case, he will most likely get busted and then yer fucked! ...

My experience with bain killers is that the doctor will give you a nurofen + script alot easier than a hydrocodone script... then again i have never used hydrocodone (for recreation or for legitimate medical purposes)....
last year i did some serious back injuries to myself when snowboarding..... i under-rotated on a Rodeo 540 and broke my neck, dislocated my right shoulder, snapped my AC joint in my right shoulder and tore 4 muscles in my back..... as far as prescription pain killers go the doctor gave me morphine in the hospital, then all i got was a repetitive Nurofen + script (like 10 repeats) and refered to a chiropracter and physio.....
i still wake up at night in pain but the N+ work well and i am nearly back to full strength in my neck and back.....
all i can say is that Chiro and physio are really good options for fixing your body, drugs are not always the best way.... maybe see your doctor get the script and try and use it less and less but also get some other forms of remedy like massage etc..
it worked for me, i dont really use the meds that much anymore, try and avoid it and when it gets to much to handle the prescription will work much better:)
DfI;)

As I did already say... I am in pt. Me & the dr. decided to stop it at this point thou until we find out what is wrong. Also as I said I have zero problems getting my script filled, so far. They just ask me if it helps and I say hell yes, its the only reason I'm not crying in pain.
Also I did have the mri, as I said once again. Please... not to be a asshole but, read my posts, lol. I hate repeating myself a million times. Thanks anyways thou, lol ;)

The dr. called me today the mri came back negative? She left that on my voice mail, so I assume that means nothing wrong. DAMN IT, what the hell is wrong with my back?

If nothing shows up then what could it be? I tryed tonight not taking any pain pills and the same old thing, Im constantly moving trying to find a comfortable spot, nothing. So I ended up taking it. Now I'm scared they won't refill my script again this time! Did I seriously strain the mucsels <sorry I can never spell that right>??? What now??? if anything? I just wish I could find out why I'm in constant pain, this sucks :( :( :(
