"REM Dealers" is a piece written, arranged, and recorded by yours truly.

I have been a few friends last call on earth, we would speak just a few moments and they'd ask for a ride back to their place or are you goin to see so'n'so ill see you there.... click. a few weeks of going through motions, and you learn of their passing, and line the dates up and your stomach drops. you feel sick. you dont realize more true companions, significant others. You get up to drive off to the stu' and catch yourself turning down a side street to be so overcome with rage you have to hurl.

The You doesn't arrive.

You peel open the monitor, and see a hollow version of yourself.
the skeleton of sleep, you reach towards the displays horizon and before the start up you see a mirror likeness of your own hand reach out at you.

i have dt990 headphones, plugging into a laptop.

do you know what i need to make the sound louder, like some kind of amp.

Yes I may -- or may not depends on a few things.

You are plugging straight into a laptop? I believe you need an audio interface (Easiest path at least) a Presonus audiobox is about $100 -- comes with cubase for a yr, than I think you get LE forever. (a bunch of other programs google it if you want)

A PREAMP on each mic slot (What you need) -- a studio quality soundcard -- 2 mic/instrument slots -- 2 midi ports - headphone slot with headphone volume knob -- a main gain knob. Now I am on my second one and it seems that one speaker port tends to go out eventually (yr 2 years ish ) -- there are plenty of other audio interfaces that will work -- this is just the easiest one I know of

I've done "stuff" on both sides of the blur between artist and engineer.

In my adventures I have been privileged with having worked with many, many musicians as time has gone by.

This is one recording I would love to share. I was only an engineer/technician in the chain, and only wish to share the "moment" and dedication that the actual composer and performers of brought to life in this very humble home brew recording which was never "pressed" or released. (Recorded approx .. 2006)

Melanie's Waiting - "Time"

These two recordings are from a solo album (CD Collection) that I performed and recorded as a project between 2002 and 2004.

It's basically a a musical journal of what I was going through during the period more than a musical statement. It's full of mistakes, bumps and warts complete to you, so there's that..

It involves a lot of LSD and steel guitars, with some synth work. Don't ding me on the drums, I did the best I can as a guitarist/keyboard playing engineer.

Anyways, they are two productions of the same composition.
