⫸STICKY⫷ Post your Recordings - Lets hear em, Kid.mp3

you are the same poster as Deficit? i think you might've had freddy crueger as an avitar?? i remember a person doing some solo stuff on an electric guitar.. this doesn't really sound like it'd be from the same person, not that the other recording was bad, i actually liked some of them... i just felt like it was kind of ametuer and more fun... this is kind of more complicated than i'd expect from that poster if this is the same person... i suck at using computer programs, basslines and adding guitar... takes a certain level of thinking
Yep, same person. A lot of the stuff I used to pass around was more just fucking around or whatever

I figured out how to operate some audio production software, about a month ago, so have been coming up with some new ideas and putting stuff together and releasing new material.

I have some more proper songs with vocals and stuff I am finishing up as well

i'm pretty sure there's really only one way to tune a piano??? guitar is so interesting cause there's very many ways to tune it, and even in standard tuning, there is a ton of stuff to play.
A piano is a tempered chromatic instrument and therefore arranged "full tone, full tone, semitone" in an infinite series, two pairs of this pattern per octave; violin, lute etc. are tuned in 4ths or 5ths. The piano is an extreme pain to tune so it's relatively rare to have one in a different tuning whereas the guitar, are easily tuned by each musician.
The predecessors to piano (clavichord, harpsichord, etc) were not and did have different tuning especially for different key signatures.

Sounds good dude, are you making the music yourself too? I dig it... For the song Tent, I would definitely turn the vocals up though, just my probably unwanted constructive criticism, but, I do like your style!

I've got this one released for streaming now too,

This was the first thing I came up with when I first opened the DAW and started getting into it, for that reason I'm pretty proud of it.

I've got one more coming to stream tomorrow, and then I have 3 more that are pretty much done and will release shortly, pretty hype for some of them :)

I finished my winter project, and I'm releasing it today. As I wrote, recorded, and mixed (got a buddies help with the final mix) everything myself and it's a full song, I'm pretty happy with it. Definitely check it out if you got a second

i got one of the newest yamaha keyboards that are pretty much made for children, but i've always loved these since i was a kid. yamaha and casio made a bunch of different models. they are all pretty similar. this one sounds a bit more modern, but still is the same type of deal as the 80's keyboards. this one was only like 50$ keyboards, but they were discontinued and i couldn't find them anywhere other than for 130$ cause wal mart stock piled them.. it was worth the extra money to me.

^^^^this video is me playing the rhythm hand for the keyboard that runs the beat's notes, and panning my camera around my room to see the painting at the same time.. i have to move out my room i've been in since i was like 9 yo and i got to start painting in my room however i wanted when i was a later teen, and made it my psychedelic space. the walls are layered with thrown paint. there are cartoons of random people i've met, and it's just a pretty trippy space. i have one painting hanging as the center piece, that i think makes the room really special (not showcased in this video.)... anyways this video and music from this keyboard is helping me cope with the loosing my space since my parents have to sell their house... honeslty i think my house should be given to me, and the government should pay it off, make psychedelics legal, and let me open a bed and breakfast in my house where people can take psychedelics and look at my paintings. the painting showcased in this video is actually a style they showed me how to paint when i was younger. a ton of people do them, and i was thinking it'd be cool to turn my neighborhood into an art space where people from around the world can travel and compare the people that have done these paintings. the couple other random paintings i did would make it worthwhile... i don't think they have enough good art out there.. i feel like some one like george condo would also have paintings at a location in the USA people could travel. i also see a ton of people on reddit i'd like to give money to with this program. thinking about george condo, i think some of george condos art is more professional than mine, and i'm kind of on the level of some one like jean michel basquiat in some respects, generally lo fi painting that is eye catching and pops on psychedelics or even for some people sober... anyways, i feel like the US is really shit at documenting psychedelic art and music unless the CIA has some secret documentation, which i don't think they are doing that to keep the general public happy. there are so many good unknown bands, like shit that isn't even on you tube, or bands that have been on you tube for years and only got like 400 views.. it's crazy... anyways, that's my dream about having a psychedelic bed and breakfast and this song is about how the government is letting me down, but i'm still living okay. that's what came into my mind with this video. sorry for the rant. kind of off topic from posting Mp3s and video, but that's what my music video is about.

Below is just me soloing over some of the presets on the keyboard. the first one really sounds perfect to me. the second one is kind of "meh", but that's my favorite effect on the keyboard:

I recently inherited a really cheap Casio that's basically like that. I'm looking at it as basically just a little thing to pick up and bash around on to learn piano. Sounds like trash. But beyond that, I only have midi controllers, so it's nice to just have something I can casually make noise on.

My goal is to soon save up for a proper synthesizer, I'm mainly look at the Novation Bass Station II, it's not exactly cheap, but it's also not outrageous, something reasonable a normal person might afford so that's what I'm shooting for

Its got just a damn classic sound, I have the vst software plugin version now, even that is pretty wicked

Here's something I'm working on that uses several sounds from the bass station

Skream - Rutten -rerereremix -

Idk I think this is done idk I guess I should put it on soundcloud or something

The risers and sound effects are too loud when I listen on my phone, gotta make em quieter, still bangs tho
i went ahead and fixed this part of it... i think it sounds done to me, i'm looking in to getting the cover song license so I can release it myself for streaming, and will upload it to soundcloud and stuff, but i think i'm happy with this version

I think one of our talented beat maker / producers should drop a beat so BL'ers can 'drop 8 bars' each on --- maybe set it up in G-drive with session files (I think its called gdrive the google share thing) -- Than other beatmakers/producers could tweak that as well. Could be interesting.

I don't know how many rappers we have but I do (feel like) most people here are capable of rhyming in 1/4 and I am sure there are some talented folk around. Be interesting to see who does what with the beat too. Kind of an uneccessary talent show so I figured this would be the thread
