Damn, Seuss I wanted to hear it! I could see the deleted post but you went and removed the file too. :p

Sn2.ru - why thanks :) if i had a kit i'd do it meself... or rather, i'd get someone else to do it. i'm torn between saving for a real kit & saving for an electronic kit at the moment (don't hate me, i need it for my live music! ;)).

Finder - sorry dude. i actually put the wrong version of the track up anyway. then i had a case of the artist's precious egowobble and pulled it down before anyone else could be exposed to the noxiousness ;)

I finally got around to updating my . It's still not quite fully functioning, but I wanted to get something fresh before our gig this week not to mention some new tracks!

For your downloading pleasure:

We're still tweaking the recording process in our rehearsal space. You can tell the difference between Glass Menageries and the other tracks which were from the second attempt. Anyway, as always criticism, praise, whatever is welcome. Feel free to share the tracks as you please!

^Typical "wish rock was still cool" kind of band that's living in the past.

Hello to all my future starry eyed fans, groupies, and "free drink Freddies".....your wait is over before it began. I, being a veritable reverse "Mc Fly" have time travelled from the past second by second to be with you now to record the sonic nuances of your fluttering eyelashes and to put into words the breath of a butterfly as he tears his wings off, yearning for the return of his days as a caterpillar............to some......it is just music.....do not pity these people my children.....love them, as I love you...

Now, all bullshit aside. These are four of my "half-songs". Half-songs being, as my signature says, sketches with greasy palm prints and rubber shavings still showing. I make something up, record it on my computer with Cubase SX3, add various vocal meanderings in hope of gold....or maybe some iron ore.....I'd even settle for an old metal scourer used to scrub lobster pots. The first vocal take is what is on these tracks because I have too much to concentrate on without spending days polishing one song. Plus I get bored very easily with my ADD.

My voice is no American Idol second stager.......maybe that of the fat kid who the grandma's thought should have been given a second go for hitting more notes than he missed by a 60/40 ratio. I am a lone artist with my best option of partnership being friends who live 2 hours by car away from me and I haven't tried looking for anyone else near me to sing for me or collaberatte with yet, I will soon.

So, I just want you to hear the rough idea of what some of my songs are like and tell me what you think of the basic structure. I have about 50 of songs like these and when I get my mp3.com.au account setup I will put more of them on there. Remember that my guitar playing and vocals and mixing is just very basic, I can and will do the tracks that I like or that people tell me they like as a polished product eventually.

On the songs, the longer length of a couple of the songs is not what will eventually be recorded again. It was to give me space to improvise in the earlier mentioned search, sometimes it comes quick, but sometimes I need to dig longer to find the mojo.

Anyways.....here they are, please......don't drive angry, and for the love of God.....be gentle with me....I am a tortured artist after all.

Thanks.

Edit:- These are not nessesarily my best or favourite songs even though I like them, but they are my most recent.

I use a Shure mic, a good ($3500) Taylor acoustic guitar, sometimes an Ibanez electric, a digitech RP12 effects board, a cheap ($400) yamaha midi keyboard, an M-Audio USB MIDI connector and an Audigy 2 soundcard, recorded with the ASIO4ALL ASIO driver on Cubase SX3.

Hey, Catfish....I have only heard "Snake Dance" so far....very cool, but those pictures, are they yours? Did you paint them or something with photoshop? Do you have them in a bigger size please?

Thx.

Yeah I made all those pictures...I do have them in bigger size, some are on my gallery here. Most are just sitting on my hd on my computer. I need to finish my website someday. Thanks for listening and looking. I will check yer stuff out soon (I need coffee first).

^^Yeah most all my art, music and images alike, is made without a preconceived notion of what I am about to make. It always seems to have a logic to it, although where the plans came from, I dunno...
