I'm in Nebraska visiting relatives. My dad came along and he abused the shit out of me growing up, so it feels like there is this blockage, this thing that stops me from interacting with my other relatives much, complicated, really. But I'm here, was desperate to get out all year. It's cold back where I live on the east coast so this is like a little extension of summer. Staying at an aunt and uncles and their little ADHD mega zoomy puppy and I are best friends. I just light up every time I look at him.
 
Knowing that I'm clean from opioids after 12 years of abuse, because I *never* thought that I could quit. Ever. Ten years ago I was snorting 300+mg of Oxy for breakfast just to make it through a 4-hour shift at work without being sick!
