I am totally feelin anything by Andy Goldsworthy at the moment. He is an artist whose medium exists solely in nature. he goes out to a totally secluded place, camps out for a couple weeks, feels what he thinks that the area would like him to produce, and creates it. out of leaves, twigs, sticks, ice, anything around him. its pretty fucking amazing.

Profit I by Basquiat is one of my all time favourite pieces of art.

i don't understand the attention and fame this guy got(aside from being andywarhols friend). his work always seems cheap and quickly thrown together.(oh hey, just like warhols! actually andy's feels even cheaper.)
there are a few of his pieces i really like....still, they don't have that technically-correct aspect i appreciate so much.


and his penmanship was fucking shit. literally crap. i couldn't even finish that movie he was in, mostly because i couldn't stand to see him dessacrate another publicly viewed wall with writing that looks like my 3 year old nephew did. yea he's done 'graffiti', but he is not a writer.
