Post-Dubstep Megathread

LOL so many brostep fans up in this thread, junglejuice and Feste's post are the only original one's in this thread... the first 2 mixes were so god awful it isn't funny... like dog barking wobble sounds? pathetic
 
dubstep that isnt like rest of.... of what? I mean you must noticed how many dubstep haters are out there and this is exactly what they claim "its all just wob wob wob stupid dubstep,its all the same" Thats just silly,if you understand dubstep you know that every producent have his own unique sounds so this statement that whatever part of dubstep is "like rest of it"...is wrong

I don't know dubstep well enough to know what would be considered typical for the genre, but I assume heavy drops and cyborg bass are what's in vogue right now?

At any rate, Distance strikes me as fairly unique. His debut My Demons is fun, but Repercussions/Chestplate is a real treat.

Yep, and the exact same thing could be said of any other electronic music genre if one doesn't delve deep enough ;)

but there isnt genre that gets trolled more than Jump-UP drum n bass or Dubstep...

your right,it can be said about any genre but why combination of broken beats and wobble bass attracts trolls more than any other music genre on earth?

90% of dubstep is whack. 10% is pure gold. All good dubstep came out of London circa 2-3 or more years ago (I haven't heard any good new stuff anyways). I don't think many Americans, as newcomers to the dubstep scene, have much conception of what the good stuff is like.

This is the absolute DEFINITION of good dubstep (apologies to UK peeps who have heard this 1000s of times before).
