No it's henna. I attended a wedding in Afghanistan and some girls painted my hands. it's very feminine and chic over here. I dont know what they were implying.
 
This is two weeks ago before a big planting that I did at a mates place. 200 trees and understory stuff. I have been nurturing these ferns for a LONG time. Non flowering Gymnosperms take sooo fucking long. Birds nests for example take 2 years to get to a pin prick size from spore, I am pretty attached to these guys.

This just posterity for the beginning of the beard of protest. I took a photo of it this morning but you can see my yfronts on the clothes line in the background. That's a bit TMI for Bluelight when I'm sober I think :D

Klue you should really start a nursery or something. There's no reason why you shouldn't be being paid for all your effort. Not sure what the Bush Regen. scene is like up there but you'd be loved down here.
 
A nursery is a tough gig to run on financial terms

Seeing as he has an interest in growing endemic plants I don't think he would do too badly growing local native plants for use by environmental companies. I know where I work it can be really frustrating trying to get some diversity in bush regeneration areas when all the nurseries stock shitloads of the same plants instead of a variety of plants that would be useful. Some plants like Acacia longifolia I just refuse to plant because they're so fucking boring and all our reveg. sites are full of them when if you go for a walk around the place naturally they occur a lot more sparsely distributed along with a bunch of other plants. I honestly believe that if a nursery took a focus on growing a diverse array of native plants rather than just the easy ones they would do a lot of business within this industry.
