New heights of bogan there preach. Mind you, a girl in my office has eve-style stamps on her chest (wings though, not pawprints). Most distasteful.

After the amount of saggy breasts I've had the unfortunate privilege of seeing over the summer, 95% could have used a pair of wings to help them stay aloft.

When I was in Melb, I met up with one of my best friends from high school.
She has her husband's name tattooed on her forearms in massive cursive print.
I'm talking from joint to wrist, like she was "one of those rap guys' girlfriends".
 
Hi, can anybody recommend a good tattoo shop in Melbourne
dont really mind where. preferably not too expensive
 
The guy who did pl4yer0ne's tattoo (see here)is now in Melbourne - Rob Abel was his name.

The boy was and still is very happy with it.

He was about a hundred bucks an hour - not sure where that is on the price range.

$100/hr for ongoing work is the default standard it seems these days. Went to see Trever Mcstay (dynamic tattoo, one of the best artists for yonks, http://www.dynamictattoo.com/ ) to book in to get the rest of my 3/4 bodysuit (finally!) finished and was told it's $100/hr for everything I get which was a bit meh for me, I'm looking to get the rest of my bod done, got ~150 hrs and prolly got 100 hrs left for nicely detailed work to go, not at $100/hr for every hour. I spent too much time working at a tattoo shop getting free work done in the 90s to like paying $100/hr *cough*
 
i would pay 100 an hour for a single sleeve i guess
my shortlist: chapel tattoo, ten-ten.com.au, one other

Here is a pic of my tat, it has two meanings.
1. It's a symbol of a quote that came with one of my christmas presents from some of the most amazing people I have ever met. I was given a pot of Frangipani's and in the card it said "With every flower that blooms you will be reminded of just how beautiful and special you are".
2. One flower for me and one flower for my baby sister.

Want to get "Pura vida" on the side of my foot soon...(is a costa rican saying meaning pure life) hoping to do it next weekend, reccommendations for good artists in the eastern suburbs of melbourne?
I know Adam Brill is good, but seems expensive :(
 
I've decided to finally get a 3rd tat. For months I have been trying to think exactly what I want. To make it more fun, I gave myself some rules.

1) It had to have a meaning to me from that point in my life (like my hedonism wheel on my back)
2) It has to be original (so obviously not off the wall)
3) The design (or muse thereof), had to come to me:
i) In a dream
ii) During a psychedelic epiphany
or
iii) During a regular epiphany



I finally got it 2 nights ago, but I am no good at designing or drawing, so I came to this thread to try and get help (I know, *technically* I should be going to a psych ward for the type of help I need).

But I digress.

Rats pushing levers. (This idea And this kind of experiment

That was my epiphany. I want to design a tat that incorporates the fact that we are just rats pushing levers (If it feels good, do it). But I don't know where to start.....


Any ideas?

!! Oooh, how is it I missed this thread for so long !!

I'm a tattoo artist up here in QLD (on a hiatus though) and I'm pretty impressed with the work being shown in this thread! Niiiiiiice!

I've got a plethora of tattoos, about 30 if I was to count individual ones etc..
I'll post a few when my bandwidth isn't so tres lame..

Just wanted to say wow!

One of my uncles has tattoos he's done himself, but I don't think there was any patience or skill involved, plus I assume he was pretty drunk at the time! :D
