Post a pic of your awesome tattoo RIGHT HERE!!!

I've been keen to get another tat for about 12 months now, and I've finally decided, I'm getting one at the end of semester, and adding to it every 6 months (or at the end of every semester).

I photoshopped this off a bunch of random designs I found online. It's for my upper right back. The H at the center is for Hedonism and the rotating sun is the endless cycle that hedonism and I enjoy.

I've always been against wankey tats, with stupid meanings that people pick off parlor walls; but I quasi-designed this, so I wouldn't mind some feedback from a more objective crowd before I go and ink up.

Heres a pic of the tattoo I want but I'll likely never get. If I got it I would want it on my side, on the ribs and that would hurt pretty bad...

haha, I have a huge tattoo on my side and it hurt like hell. actually, I was too doped up to notice while i was getting it, but I went back in for touch-ups sober and it fucking KILLED.
 
Its unlikely that I would although the pain would suck, the high from my piercing was pretty cool. 30 min later..."I'd do it again :)" But I'm more likely to chicken out and just get a small purple heart. A symbol of what I've been through in life and reminder of self-love. The phoneix is rising from the ashes of a shattered past, same idea. Plus, I don't have any kids yet and I wouldn't like some...strechmarks over a tattoo wouldn't be too hot. Not to mention I might want to put on some weight before ANY tattoos just for comfort sake, 30ish pds underweight will just make it that much worse.
 
Mine wasn't too bad and I'm guessing yours would end up about the same size. I went in completely sober. It did hurt while the artist was going over bone, but it's bearable. The worst part is lying there for 1-2 hours taking it, but I did get this funny drunk feeling afterwards - presumably from the endorphins.

I say get it. I've never seen any tattoos like it.
 
It certainly would like it to be smaller than that, but there is no way they could do that and not have it be a blob as it ages.
 
How big would you like it? Mines about 10cm in diameter and I don't imagine the phoenix any smaller than that. Not unless they use really fine needles, but those might hurt more.

I can't stand the idea of being pierced. I feel that tattoos are blunt pains, which I can handle very well. As soon as skin get pierced you can forget it. I actually have a really cool idea for a combined tattoo and piercing piece but I'd never get it myself. I'd rather be cauterised.
 
I don't know. I guess its one of those things that I'll talk about doing and either never will or it will be a sudden choice, like my piercing.
It wasn't really that bad looking back on it. Believe it or not it was the second hole that hurt the most.

piercings freak me out
i cudnt even take my ears being pierced
it was the sudden ripping pain and the pressure of the gun
tattooing just doesnt seem to hurt
i think the phoenix is cool, pillthrill - id get it done! if u can handle an ear piercing in the top of ur ear then u cud handle a tattoo
i had to take my earrings out for good wen i started riding competitively - it sucked but part of me was relieved cos i hated even the feeling of rotating those earrings in the holes :p

That a lovely design. Id even get that done. The noise of the needle is worse than the pain. I have a low pain thresh hold most days and it hurt but as soon as it was dont i went straight to the pub and downed a beer...ALL BETTER!! =D

Ive a tiger on my front and a celtic design on my lower back that goes up my spine a bit. I got mine done at Smoke Dreams in Melb CBD and I will go back there when i want another one :)

DFRS: wow that looks sensational!! Completed? You could do some fantastic carry on work with just the pretty design of it.

for those that don't kno what this is its a sublime tattoo from the album cover...

its not for the band tho..... i just liked the design and as a kid i use to be crazy and do stupid shit to get myself in jail, rehab, insitutions, ect.... soo the sublime is a reminder for me to keep my life peaceful and tanquill..

and i kno i have posted this before but this time i am planing a boarder.. and to fill the tattoo in wit the colors of the boarder..... any ideas from anyone would be helpful!!
 
I guess it also doesn't hurt that Sublime the band are amazing :)

i saw the band badfish in concert they do no justice to the real sublime...

i mean on CD they sound ok but live they just suck balls.... i wish i could have seen the real sublime live..... i would have been on soooooooo many drugs.....

lol its probley the same since i didn't see them seeing as how i probly wouldn't have remmbered the night....8)
