popularity of legal downers

Tonight I was at my local Wegmans and realized that they carried 'Jones Gaba' which was mentioned in the article above. I bought it just to see. Tasted more or less like weak apples and tea. Didn't really have much of an effect at all, just perhaps a slightly tired feeling, but the taste was pleasant enough, and truth be told I would take this over the jittery feeling of a standard issue energy drink any day.

I've heard of these 'reverse energy drinks'

Why aren't they popular? Tell me a good legal downer.

I can think of Phenazepam and obscure benzos which not everyone enjoys.

"Yo dawg, we heard u liek to get fu38cked up, so we put some melatonin, Valerian root, 5-htp, and Chamomile in ur drank" 8)

LOL I've had tea that has ginseng, chamomile, catnip, hops, and b6 and b12 and it gave me a headache but it tasted nice and minty with some lemon grass added in. :\

puckboy is right booze is the #1 legal downer. A lot of people drink in highschool or start then, and when I was at a university I only met one person who did not drink at all and that's only because alcoholism ran in her family but everyone else did even if it was just socially.

One word - Productivity. Downers are frowned upon because they do not result in increased productivity. Its all about work. And more work. And more work. Now get back to work!
