I use it as a spiritual enhancer because it makes me feel like there are spirits are in my house ^ ^ The first time I did it I saw a Tibetan version of Buddha (even though I'm not a Buddhist [specifically]) and immediately felt so much awe and reverence that my whole spirit had shifted for weeks afterwards. That same trip I saw what I first thought were ghosts, but soon realized were Small Gods representing positive and negative spiritual force.
This being said it must be treated with a lot of spiritual respect. I looked it up thoroughly starting a year even before I planned to obtain it so that I could feel comfortable enough to do it. I looked up all the reports I could find on DPT, 4-HO-DPT, 4-AcO-DPT and 5-MeO-DPT and took note of both the positive and the negative experiences. I realized that I definitely need the right music, that I should not have so many people around that it's hectic but that I might need support, that I should keep the dose low to start (I started with 25 mgs IM, followed by 30 mgs MXE to boost), and that I should expect wierd and crazy but also human and spiritual.
I always treat it like a ceremony; smudging/lighting incense, finding the perfect music, making a comfortable open space. I let the drug sit in water in a syringe for at least an hour before putting it in my body, a ritual I had made starting the first time I'd injected it. I try to make each of my experiences on DPT well thought out, deliberate and meaningful. I have had bad experiences where I have rushed into it without cause or reason and gotten uncomfortable, unhappy chaos back. Set and setting is incredibly important with this one.
Music is incredibly important with this drug as well. It helps to guide the experience and give context to the feelings. I like to listen to sets or compilations that are at least an hour long so it can ride me through the most intense part of the experience. I prefer down-tempo, dubby, or glitchy music because those are the feelings I like to have on DPT. My favorite thing to listen to is a set by Melo.nade called Ottoman Audible (look it up, you won't regret it).
Don't be scared, but always show respect. Happy trippings!
