In a dream...
SO, I gotta say I'm a bit overexcited here. This will be the first post by me in this forum! I have been writing for years; it helps me out with any internal issues I'm having at the time. But anyway, I wrote this piece in '04 so yeah, it's a bit outdated but I like it and I hope that you will too! :-)

Poor Fellow

Poor fellow
You hurt.
What's wrong?
You know,
Those thoughts don't belong.
Trying to cower,
Pulling in every breath.
The air has you pinned
Under its great strength.
A pit of quicksand
And rubber knees-
I don't care,
Do what you please.
The last, lonely
Drip in the cup.
If you'll allow me,
I can be the wings
To pick you back up.
But oh that scowl
Used with perfection-
My anger rides
To its fullest extension.
The weight shifts
On unknown regards.
You stand there laughing;
I cry without guard,
Or heart, or soul,
Or simple wish,
Cracked as a fallen dish.
And so he now asks
'Dear baby, what's wrong?'
I laugh and I sigh
With a tear in my eye-
I've been the poor fellow
All along.
