They are just an all around general mindf@ck to me.

In low doses, I see shrooms as having a more euphoric mdma-like effect but I don't really get that from acid--uncontrollable laughter is not euphoria.

its not just you.
for me LSD is analytical as fuck if i think about being analytical,
but if i set out to trip balls for fun by the end of it ive come out with some pretty strong realizations etc.

and shrooms seem to me, chaotic as feck.

Is it me?.... or is LSD analytical as hell, and shrooms poetic as hell.

I very much find this myself.

LSD sends me into a very analytical state of mind, whereas Mushrooms i feel very 'emotional' and spiritual.. although much harder to convey myself.

from my very limited experience with the two I would agree. I remember when I was on shrooms i was saying such poetic bullshit that when i looked back the next day i practically gagged.

acid definitely feels more analytical, i think partially due to its clearheadedness.

I've had LSD and psilocybin (taken separately) become both analytical, poetic, spiritual/cosmic, and funny at times.

Even herb can be this way if you get the psychedelic effects from THC. I find tripping and the psychedelic experience to be the way we've described it so far in this thread. :) Thanks for writing it.

I definitely feel like mushrooms are more of a spiritual journey and LSD is better for making observations and thinking things through. I definitely analyze a lot more on LSD which is kind of why I like it better than mushrooms. I can still make sense of things and come to some really astounding insights, but on mushrooms I can barely make sense of myself, except on low doses.

They are most definitely both "spiritual/cosmic" and "funny" as you put it. And they both carry the analytical and poetic aspects. But I find LSD to be more analytical (focused, concentrated, targetted) than shrooms. Shrooms are more explosive IME, more random and more poetic, inspiring. They are a lot less focused and like Sega said: "chaotic as feck."

Well, for me, mushrooms do make me think until I can't think and then I kinda lose my sense of self, and they more than acid put me into un-reality. LSD is more if a mind-scrambling, lulzy deal with me, but most of the time I'm coherent, but everything I say sounds weird to me. It does make me see things in a different light (literally) as well.

Since I haven't tried LSD yet I'm just going to vote on cost. With regular mushrooms I would spend 3-4x as much as LSD (or more) in order to have a 3.5g-5g trip every time. With 4-AcO-DMT however I actually pay less per equivalent to 3.5-5g shrooms than I would for a single tab of acid, so for this reason 4-AcO-DMT gets my vote.

I also based my vote on people saying that LSD is "not as intense" and less confusing. This intensity and confusion for me is a great part of the trip, it is part of what the mushrooms have to teach you.

Mushrooms are more reliable as a thing in the world, LSD wanes in quality availability price and legality.

mushrooms are just more solid, rock solid, just as powerful if not the STANDARD to which LSD should be tested, wondering if either one is exclusive to what it can offer one or if they share the same range of experiences.

I like both for different reasons. GOOD acid always tends to be really edgy/electric fractal type visuals, the feeling as if nothing is real. It's much more cartoony and makes me want to go out, trip balls but have loads of fun at the same time. Don't get me wrong acid can reveal many things to yourself it is not simply "fun". Mushrooms have always and will always be a shear and utter mind/ego fuck. I have had some very intensely spiritual trips on mushrooms, the visuals seem so vivid on higher doses. Not to mention that they absolutely destroy your ego. I am going to say if I had to choose, it would be mushrooms. Mushrooms are a inner journey, acid is learning how to spread your wings.

More bang for buck depends on how you get your psilocin. If you're buying shrooms then LSD would be cheaper. If you're growing shrooms, or buying 4-AcO-DMT or 4-HO-DMT, then Psilocin is a lot cheaper.

As for which is better I only have experience with Psilocin, but I imagine each has it's own advantages.

While I trip LSD far more often, my experiences with psilocin have outweighed those on LSD. I find the shorter duration, earthly/spiritual feeling, and intensity a lot more enjoyable. There's nothing quiite like the intense comeup of a quarter ounce of psilocin.

I do hope that's a quarter ounce of mushrooms that contain psilocin, not a quarter ounce of psilocin ;-)

Shrooms and 4-AcO-DMT are wonderful drugs, and the latter is less than half the cost per dose as LSD, but LSD just seems to be magical in a way that Psilocin/psilacetin can't compete with. So deep, clean, and beautiful...

I find LSD way more fun and easier to be in public, or around people ( although neither drugs do really ENJOY being in a social or public setting)

shrooms are good for thinking, or a quick 5 hour trip. Really depends on the day and circumstance.

but lucy barely wins this one folks

Psilocybin wins by depth and context, LSD wins by the fact that it is human invention.

Psilocybin was put here by god, LSD proved to us that we also can be the creators of things holy.
