PMA-First Time-Hallucinogenic Amphetamine
I hope this will debunk or shed some light on a chemical with a bad rep that few have experienced themselves. I consider myself experienced, using MDMA, MDA, and MDE on numerous occasions. I got the chance to experience paramethoxyamphetamine or PMA or 4MA on my first trip to the Philippines, February 2004.
My cousins were throwing me a going away party, where we were drinking lots of the local extra strong beer called "Red Horse". Close to the end of our drinking session, I met a girl in her early twenties who claimed to have some E. She looked like a model and she seemed cool, so I said what the hell lets go!
Sitting in the backseat with this hottie, she hands me what she said to be half of a white "Canadian". The pill was stamped with a maple leaf and seemed to be decent size for a half(what ppl would consider a single dose). I chewed it up and washed it down with some soda,noting a distinct bitterness like MDMA. I sat there next to her with one hand on her butt and the other fondling her breast.
+20 mins-I started feeling like I was coming up, noting that this was really fast for me to be feeling effects of a pill.
+45 mins-I started feeling as if I was rolling, but not quite. Slightly euphoric. My tripping partner seemed to be already fully up on it. She examinied my eyes and exclaimed, "wow your pupils are big!" She then blew a menthol inhaler at my eyes. She then suggested we do something to kick in my high. First I layed down flat on the floor and she got on top of me, at the count of 3 she would push down and I would push up in an attempt to push her off me. After several tries, she suggested that she would spin me. So I got into a sort of crouching position and she proceeded to spin me. I stood up when I could no longer stand it and she caught me in her arms as I was about to fall over. At this point she was holding me in her arms as I felt an intense rush of euphoria.
+1 hour-My tripping partner then asked me "Do you see the design/pattern of the rug moving?" This induced the start of my hallucinations. I stared at the rug and the pattern seemed to be slithering like a snake, pulsating and breathing. I agreed with her that it was in fact moving. She then got up and led me by hand outside to go look at the stars. We then layed down on the lawn in front of the house and looked up at the stars. While looking at the stars, we both noticed that the stars were all blinking rapidly in no particular sequence. My partner then asked me, "Do you think they are trying to communicate with us?" This is when the hallucinations started to get really intense, I seemed to be peaking. My whole body was hot, especially my head. My partner felt that she had to vomit and started dry heaving. I felt as if I was frying or in some sort of trance like state. Every area of space I stared into revealed an endless wall of geometric shapes floating through the air passed us. At this point I told one of my cousins that I was in need of some water. I then asked my partner "What are in these things?" "This is way different than what I'm used to!" I then proceeded to say "oh shit!" repeatedly. We got up to go scare my other cousins by walking around them hand in hand exclaiming "shit! Do you see that?!!" Walking hand in hand, I noticed that every blade of grass seemed to be alive and moving. I looked over at a tree and it was also alive and breathing. My partner then told me "Don't worry, just remember we're here for eachother." So we go lay back down on the grass and she sort of lays on me. We are both just looking around in different directions, tripping off our surroundings. She asks me, "Do you see them?!?" She was refering to the eyes of people in our peripheral vision. I then replied, "Yes!!! Who are they?!!!!!" My partner told me "Look up to the sky and lift your legs and arms to the air, lets start flying!" It did seem as though we were flying through the dark sky.
+2 hours 30 minutes-My cousins came to observe us. We stood up in front of them while they sat on the ground. My partner decided that she wanted to give them a show. So she proceeded to wrap her arms around me and rub her body against mine. She really started getting into it, kissing my neck. My cousins were amazed watching us, cussing out loud in Tagalog and Ilocano. Then she made an attempt to kiss me which I refused. We then continued to trip off a tree that was about 50 feet in the distance, it just seemed to be going wild with each branch and leaf moving on its own. The trance like state would stop and I would feel like I was rolling, and then it would return. Off and on the hallucinations went until they finally stopped.
+3 hours-We were inside coming down, I felt so out of it. I was telling people things that scared them like, "You are all glass!!!!!!!!!! I can see through all of you!!!!!!!!!!" This continued until my partner took out a vial, which she told me was ketamine. She led me by hand to the microwave where she cut the top of the vial and cooked the contents on a plate in the microwave. She told me we must watch it cook until it crystalizes. She scraped up the crystals and we proceeded to the bedroom to go to a k-hole.
When I returned back to Cali a few days later, I went on pill reports to try to find out what the hell I had ingested. There was a pill(Id 37972) on Pillreports.com for Asia (in Manila) called Canadians and the report was similar to mine, though not that detailed. Many comments to this report with warnings were posted saying that the pill were known to contain PMA. Good thing I only took that "half"!
