I am going to try this, but I have a few questions and I want to make sure I do it right.
I usually use about 2 pounds of seeds to make my tea, which yields about 500ml worth of liquid. I know this is too much liquid to plug so I plan to put the liquid on a half-size baking tray and put it in the oven on a low temperature (100 degrees F?) until it has evaporated into a small enough liquid to plug. Hopefully it doesn't take longer than an hour or so.
I have never reduced my PST or any other liquid for the matter, so is this an effective method? I have heard of leaving it on a tray over night with a fan on it, but due to my current living situation, that is not an option. I only have about an hour to spend on reducing the liquid.
I have never plugged anything either, but I am not scared or intimidated by it. I'm going to use a baster and insert it about 3 or 4 inches before I squeeze it. What is an acceptable amount of liquid to plug? I'm guessing if you plug too much liquid, at a certain point it will just come out. What is acceptable, 50ml? 100ml?
I know there are a lot of different questions in this thread, but again, I have never reduced a liquid and I have never plugged anything. I just want to make sure I do them in a safe and effective manor. Last question: Is this going to be worth all the hassle that is being put into it? I've always heard that plugging has a high BA. There are many active alkaloids in PST, but morphine is the main one. Morphine has a low oral BA, so I'm hoping the effects felt from plugging are a lot more pleasant than those felt from oral administration.
For anyone interested, I decided to try doing all this because the poppy seeds in my area have dropped in potency about 50% a few months ago all at once. It really sucks so now I have to use about 50% more than I used to. I noticed that this is a cycle every year though... The seeds are amazing for about 6 months and then drop down alot for another 6 months. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!
