I'm sorry for your pain. For what it's worth- I just lost a very dear friend a month ago- he was in a coma for 2 months after being pinned underneath his car while working on it- it's a shit way to go...
But... maybe someone out there will read this thread and understand that there are way to prevent such things... NEVER EVER put some one in a coma (can't shake from a nod is a coman) in some back bedroom to sleep it off- especially if a combo of drugs is involved- fuck- if anything is involved. If you can't rouse someone- something is WRONG!

I'm very sorry to hear about his condition, but he is alive and there is a chance. Coma is a defensive mechanism for the body to rehabilitate. I hope he turns out okay; your friend has our best wishes that he gets better quick
I don't know what allowances are, but try to spend time with him in this condition. Good luck to him and his family and friends in getting through this

1) Prayer won't do a GOD DAMN THING! Don't waste your time talking to your bed...
2) You have someonethat dose a lot of drugs and alcohol, suddenly they are unarousable.. ok, I can understand writing it off as a "nod off" as long as they are still breathing, so this could extend the "do nothing" period for an hour or two... but then, if he still is non-responsive you take him to the hospital, and you certinly don't wait until the very next day.... c'mon, I would hope thats common sense...
3) He posted his reply about the situation, so there is no need for this!
