Please HELP - LSD fucked me

Originates at competitive gaming sites? Well there you go. It IS just stupidity. Generated by kids obsessed with rotting their minds playing pointless games 24/7 and who ignore school, reading, literature, etc. Dress it up however you wish, that's "you're" interpretation, haha... I say they are just being dumb, period. Evidence? It's not the slightest bit funny or clever, and adds ZERO to whatever comment or insult is being made. Totally random and nonsensical, the product of bad education, nothing more. They may THINK they are being clever doing that but they are just being retards.

No I'm not jumping on you... I know you did not make the graphic or the post of it... I suppose people may do that on purpose, but if so then I am still critiquing that "method" of humor and saying I think it is lame and pathetic and stupid, even if it was intentional.

And by the way whatever that is it is NOT "irony." Apparently you dont know what "irony" means. It involves CONTRADICTION, saying the OPPOSITE of what is really meant. NOTHING TO DO with bad grammar and using an incorrect term that is a homonym of the one that should properly be used. Absolutely that technique if thats what it is cannot be called "irony." Whatever it is its just some trendy misplaced attempt at seeming "hip", that is really just stupid and conveys exactly NOTHING.

i·ro·ny1
[ahy-ruh-nee, ahy-er-] Show IPA
–noun, plural -nies.
1.
the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend.
2.
Literature .
a.
a technique of indicating, as through character or plot development, an intention or attitude opposite to that which is actually or ostensibly stated.
b.
(esp. in contemporary writing) a manner of organizing a work so as to give full expression to contradictory or complementary impulses, attitudes, etc., esp. as a means of indicating detachment from a subject, theme, or emotion.

if you want to be pedantic...

7. an objectively sardonic style of speech or writing.
5. an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected.

:P

I would say this form of humor pretty obviously fits number 5. As for number 7, when you have a binary between you're and your the expected result is "your" because it's the correct choice - when the user is intentionally choosing the opposite of what would be expected in this grammatical context, it pretty clearly fits that definition of irony. Just sayin' :P

Anyway, it's largely a trolling technique - and a form of humor as such. I think it's funny because it gets people so miffed over such a small mistake :P

And, this is definitely the last post I'm going to make about this because we're both cleeeeearly way off topic haha. wow, we are bad...

Couple things:

1) Trolling discussion does not belong here and no one cares about it but the two of you. Please end it guys.

2) I second whoever said this was one of the worst threads on Bluelight. I am gonna go ahead and believe the OP here... but everything from the panicked postings to the desperate doctor's visit just screams anxiety disorder.

You don't need an anti-psychotic medication... You need to just chill out. That is apparently not possible and you are going to continually fixate on this event and the perceived brain damage that you think is secondary to it.

Instead of an anti-psychotic, you need some anti-anxiety medications and some therapy sessions.

I totaly agree with jbrandon.

mrdocat. Don´t take the Risperdal. Tell your doctor you have anxiety and that he should give you a benzodiazepine. Like Alprazolam or Valium.
(Just don´t take them every day since they are addictive)

otherwise go on with your life as normal. I know it´s not, but it will be with time.

You are by far too impatient and neurotic.

Stop coming on here everyday complaining about what new ailment you are now feeling. This forum doesn´t have more to offer you in regards of help than what has already been said.

in my opinion, this thread should be closed now.!!!

hahah i was laughing so hard
"it was amazing - until about 12hrs after the effects started. Then I realized it wasn't stopping......I thought i was brain damaged!" lol dude ur so funny i needed this story in the morning.

ok i only read the first 2 pages, and saw that page 5 was all just off topic, but i figured id post anway..
1. you def wont get brain damaged.
2. the day after is the come down (emotionally + physically), you may want to harm yourself or make irrational decisions.
3. bahhahahaha brain damaged...

when i was younger, back when i never did any drugs- then i started smoking weed. smoked weed every now n then, not daily for a couple months. then my friend gives me a hit of acid one time (like 2, dick). 20 minutes later i didnt feel nothing so i told him. he said give me 3 bucks for another hit, so i did and he gave me a bigger one (def at least 3 hits). this is my first time mind you, and i was like 13-14 at the time i think? but anyway, LOOONGGG story short the next day i felt suicidal and super depressed, but just told myself it was a come down. i dont want to get started on lsd trips, but it has changed my life in SOOO many ways. dont trip out ull be str8... lol brain damaged

OK I see. Better stop now. Thanks everyone, even the gay guy, this topic helped me a lot. I'll not take risperidone.

I'll be back in 1 week to say if I'm better just if someone is interested.
Good bye.

This thread has become a trainwreck, and the OP seems to be done with it, so I'm gonna close it. mrdocat, feel free to create a new thread to let us know how things turned out or ask for further advice. I'm no doctor, but I agree with your decision not to take the risperidone; I wouldn't consider medicating the symptoms away unless they get worse or don't go away on their own in the next week or so.

As for the ridiculous trolling 'debate'.... *facepalm*. That is all.
