Gabapentinoids Phenibut Megathread

Two many sedatives in (relatively) short space of time. More time in between required with more sobriety.

thanks for the response.

just so I understand better, do you mean on the same day, so Phenibut diazepam, cannabis, magnolia bark and Taurine together? or more the number of days since taking pregabalin +diazapam and GBL?

I'm a downer guy so the times a week doing downers is a bit of an issue

I ended up taking another 1g of phenibut yesterday, got me pretty hammered along with a couple of beers, think I only needed an extra 0.5g, I find it odd that the threshold level for it was so cliff edge though I'd read it was quite on/off.

Pondering the pregabalin cross tolerance, I know it's meant to be medium to strong depending on your biochem, is this showing me that the tolerance for pregab is raising again as well? that's what I'm more worried about as pregab is my DOC, maybe I need a longer tolerance break :(

Yeah, sorry I wasn't very clear. I was pretty 'sleepy' when I posted before.

I meant I think you're just taking too many downers affecting the GABA system over the weeks so you're not getting as much effect. I can say from experience that this will come and bite you on the ass eventually. When it finally does it's not pleasant. So absolutely no judgement here.

Maybe make your phenibut use once a month? Use less and enjoy more.

Yeah couple of beers and phenibut will get you pretty wrecked. If you're an, eh, a more 'advanced drinker' then you get away with more but ultimately results in more damage.

There's definitely cross tolerance between pregabalin and phenibut. Sounds like your tolerance is raising again.

I like downers too. Ultimately the goal is to reduce usage and deal with issues with more healthy activities. One day you may have legitimate need of these medicines and they won't work as well. This is another problem.

Exercise, meditation and fresh air are cliches but they do work over time and do not lose effectiveness. Plus they're free. Maybe some to consider in the long run?

thanks, I'm certainly trying to cut back at the moment, maybe a extended tolerance break is needed!

Most of the key "tolerance reset" items are GABAergic/anti-glutamate sedatives ironically enough. I listed the key ones in this post. They'd outperform phenibut and even diazepam imo.
interestingly I'm already taking some of these.

maybe I need to look more into the GABAergic anti-glutamate side of things, thing is I'm not taking these drugs due to dependency or any psychological issues, I'm early enough on in my habit that I could just stop cold turkey (actually did that recently without issue for 1.5 months).

maybe I should just do it again before things start to get worse.

not sure if taking a batch of nootropics is better than just cold turkey, hmm

Cold turkey definitely better if you can manage it without issue.
been thinking about it and guess I'm gonna have to take a longer break, clearly the tolerance reset from pregabalin takes much longer than I thought, will leave phenibut/pregab and benzos alone for a while

I think that's a good idea.

You clearly enjoy your drugs which is fine. But it's not healthy to fixate on them and spend all your time thinking about them. I'm not saying you do. But I get the impression you might.

Drugs should be an adjunct to life or a medical treatment to allow a better life to be lived. They should not be your life.

Just my opinion mind.

Tolerance reset from Lyrica is literally days my man, you've cooked your gaba system from the sounds of it, willing to bet over the course of many many years

is that from years of alcohol? only been taking pregab weekly for a year, is it going to be recoverable? bit worrying....anything I can do extra to help get things back to baseline?

Years of alcohol doesn't help. Is it every day and like 10-20 pints a day on weekends?

If not then I think our friend Kurt is exaggerating a bit. Yeah you need to tone it down a bit. I think years is pushing it a bit.

If so then how many times you been through the withdrawal? I mean absolute panic shaking the world is ending fear. If the answer is plenty then yeah... That's a problem. But age is a big factor too.

The younger you are the quicker your recovery. IF you stay clean. If you're hitting the GABA everyday then maybe consider a quick diazepam taper and stay off it and you'll be fine. Ride out the discomfort and don't get wound up.

PM if you feel the need.

thanks for the reply, it's extremely helpful :heart3:

years of alcohol but bingeing on weekends with lighter use on week days, no where near 10-20 pints a day though and I've calmed down a lot in recent years (just life stress that at time pushes me back to this level). Have never drank enough that I've ever gone through alcohol withdrawal, but I'm 50+ so it's slower for me.

I'm certainly hitting GABA too much, and taking a break is very much a good idea I think, don't need to taper from diazepam or anything else for that matter, cold turkey is fine, I don't have any tolerance - only tolerance to pregab and as a result phenibut.

got a wider plan to reduce my usage, it's time to take a grip of things! https://www.bluelight.org/community...s-idiots-addicted-to-being-high.952520/page-3

I think you'll be just fine.

Assuming you're sensible and do what you say.
