If a person recreationally takes one day a week. Would they likely become addicted? Say they take 5x512's one day a week. What would be the dangers and wouldn't the drug be out of their system by the time they did it again?

If you can really stick to once a week, more power to ya and no you probably would not get physically addicted but most people can't use that responsibly .
It becomes a habit ...
which becomes a sickness.

Even using once a week you will still build a permanent tolerance. it may take a while but you definitely won't be satisfied with 5 a day forever. when I started out I avoided increasing tolerance for a while because I was using very infrequently.

I still use sporadically but after a few years of doing it I have built a tolerance even though I hardly use opiates. i haven't used for about a month but I bet the next time I pop 25mg of hydrocodone I won't be nodding like I would be a couple years ago.

My point is while you may not become full blown addicted you are definitely still going to build a tolerance which could snowball into addiction.

I will tell you my routine so it's understood why I take it. I manage a store 10hr/6days a week. So I like to blow off some steam. I drink most Friday nights. Every Saturday Night. And all day Sunday. I usually take an adderall on Sunday in order to keep it going. On Monday I will be sick from alcohol and adderall and so I will take the Percs and ease out of it and function at work on Monday. Then I just catch up on sleep the rest of the week and relax after work.

Very true Bliss26 respectfully, but alcohol is reasonably cheap and legal and I am fully aware of that addiction. I just don't want to double or triple up on addictions and spiral out of control. And certainly would love to switch my alcohol addiction to Percs but it doesn't sound like it ends well for others. People told me if I were to get addicted to opiates that I'm a "goner". Dead for sure whereas alcohol you can get by for majority of your life. Does that make any sense?
