What's worse, bad credit or amputed foot phalanges.

Point to Thanatos. Watching this (FKB's belief he can't afford help, or would be refused) makes it clear how leadership is going to get away with lying about the state of healthcare, and how they will eventually destroying the system so they can save it.

I didn't realize the non-insured status was THAT bad. All your guys' talk of financial messes due to hospital bills has me cringing. I thought if you had no money there was some sort of practice or rules in place that would 'write off' the bill to some extent. How do those on disability or the homeless get health care?

I desperately hope universal health care grows roots down there. I didn't realize the system was that bad.

I think snowboard cross is solidly my favorite olympic sport. The landing skills they have are incredible. They're so smooth and rhythmic it's mezmerizing.

For shits and giggles; virtual money bet; Maltais vs. Jacobellis :)

Did you see women's skeleton? The reaction of our chick when she won silver is one of my favorite moments of Sochi...she jumped into the stands and climbed up a railing/wall to get to her family and hug them, after she jumped on top of her coach in jubilation).

Ya I saw that :)

Man, my head honestly fell to my knees when Maelle Ricker fell. :( She's my favorite athlete of anything. Such a warm, nice person, and kick ass boarder chick. Ya gotta admire her going there with a broken wrist. It's in a cast; she said she looked forward to the race, but not pulling out of the gate. That's gotta hurt to yank yourself with a broken wrist. She likely would have been a lot better shape if she could yank like normal; once in the lead it's easier to keep it.

Dominic Maltais is our only one left. I haven't heard of her before these olympics. She got the lead early on and kept it for her run.

edit: holy shit!! those watching will know what I mean. Man this sport is unpredictable with crashes, bumps and shoves. Edge of my seat

edit 2: Maltais with silver. One of those beautiful moments; falling the wall at the end of the course, she and the Czech winner scream and hug each other on the ground. :)

You'd think they'd be all competitive and stuff, but you can tell they know each other well and don't give shit which one got gold. They both did awesome at the olympics and they're having the time of their lives. :) <3

Afternoon. Whee.
I'm pretty upbeat today. Save for that I haven't heard from my best friend, the first person with whom I ever did psychedelics, for a week. I hope he's okay, I really do.

^ hi kota. glad you're doing well.

----------

continuing frostbite saga: my aunt who is a nurse dropped by my house. showed her my frostbite, asked her if she thought i should go to the hospital.... she said she doesn't even know what they would/could do for me. hm.

TNW, please don't use your aunt as the deciding factor in you seeking treatment.
But remember this, since you can feel pain your frostbite isnf very severe. If it were otherwise then I'd be really worried.
The true test will be if you have necrotic muscle mass down the line.

After I got a job life's been good, I don't know what happens next month when my contract ends. I might get job for a summer (that means I'll save money and go travelling in the autumn). Going to Eastern Europe, Czech & Hungary etc :) anyway now life's been just work & doing drugs on weekends haha. I have to start studying on entrance exam to university in April tho, that should keep me occupied..
