☮ Social ☮ PD Social Thread: N-Dimensional Funhouse of Possibilities

Nice. :) This is the first festival I will have ever gone to in my life (other than 1-day things). And I've wanted to go to one for... 13 years. So yeah, I'm excited. :) Awesome lineup.

I've ony been to one "real" festival. By real, I mean camping, multi-day type thing. I've been to a couple smaller day festivals, but they're nothing compared to the experience you get camping for a whole weekend and listening to awesome music.
The lineup for Lock'n really does look sick. It was actually one of the ones I was thinking about going to, but money... If only festivals weren't so expensive lol. But so worth the price. You're gonna have a blast man!

Yeah it's really expensive for sure, but I saved all summer for it. :) The lineup is crazy, even though Further cancelled, it's still sick.

Time to go back to the law school grind... Although honestly, going from working full time while hustling for a job next summer to focusing on classes for a while feels kinda like a vacation.

How's this for synchronicity: the other night while tripping on -B and a little lucy, it occurred to me that I live in a major city now and bands actually tour here... So during a moment of lucidity while Shpongling out, I looked up their tour dates. And whaddya know - Shpongle and Beats Antique are playing a mile away from me in October, tix are like 40 bucks. Should be an amazing show, and a good chance to meet some locals with similar, err, hobbies ;)

Shpongle is playing where I live in October too, actually on Halloween. And I'm totally going. :)

Good luck with law school man!

Just realized you're in Chicago, from your location... I'm from there (well, Aurora). My family still lives there, I visit at least twice a year. :)

Yeah man. I saw Umphreys and Keller Williams on there and I immediately wanted to go haha.
@Solistus Sphongle is so crazy live. I saw them back in April and it was by far the weirdest show I've ever been to. I loved it! Never seen Beats Antique live, but I bet they're awesome too!

I'm excited about them, also about String Cheese, Phil & Friends, Allman Bros (playing Live at Fillmore East!) and Widespread Panic (with Jimmy Herring) (I've seen them two other times with the same lineup and it was SICK).

And Tom Petty and Willie Nelson will be cool too.

Damn I gotten into a nasty pit of I.M. MXE again

Those MXE binges probably suck and hurt so good at the same time. After you stop you'll probably spend two weeks in the dark place then things should lighten up. Keep cool during the last half. You will prevail!

Yeah man! Can't wait, I forgot you mentioned that, now I'm even more excited. :)

Just received my LSD also... was starting to get a little nervous it wouldn't make it. Preparations are almost complete!

I tried to take DXM after taking pregabalin much earlier. When I use it to get fucked up, usually every few weeks, I'll take a bunch as soon as I wake up ojn an empty stomach, and I have found thats the best way to get fucked up. Anyways, i took DXM much later, at night, and fell asleep during the peak, which I blame on pregabalin. It was also my only time attempting gross syrup. Anyway, what if I took Lyrica and DXM, and added a little bit of Ritalin? I barely take it, and I have the lowest dose, so I won't need much and just want to stay awake.

Woke up late, so .6g rather than .9...I remember when I didn't have to worry about scheduling things, but oh well, maybe next month.

2 day work week

That's the same schedule I have. I work on weekends, and have weekdays off.

How is it? I'm kinda waffling between law and floriculture as prospective paths into the future.

I normally work weekdays and not weekends, but this week Monday was off for Labor Day and I am taking Thursday and Friday as vacation days.

Just finishing work, time to go shopping for some supplies. Earlier I went to a thrift store and Goodwill to look for costume accessories. Let me just say that thrift stores SUCK here compared to in Illinois. They're more expensive and there was barely anything cool, although I found an awesome hat.

^I love the thrift stores where I live, where else could I get a $180 pair of shoes for $15? Goodwill also has great books and you can make some great tie finds there. I mean generally I try to patronize small businesses and second hand goods stores, exceptions granted to the target and 7-11 that are right next to me.

SO I managed to make it to the store before things got wonky, not sure it I wanna have that politstyrex though, I just threw up. I don't know, sense is leaving the sensible.

Edit: I'm also very sorry they don't have Enrico Chapela's Magnetar (a suite for the electric cello) on youtube. Just listened to it, it's awesome. First time I heard it was the day after it's inaugural performance (at the LA Phil), I was sittin' in my car, on MXE, listenin' to the classical station, in Claremont. It's an awesome piece, I insist y'all find it. Here's a little portion.

I'm in control now, people are you here?
What brought you up here to the top of the world?
I can build a lego castle around your duplo society.
Your ideas are small, Planet Earth, you gotta do something about the riff raff.

Where's the pizazz?
Up down left right jump start...
you're building things very regularly, don't ya think?
Well I can see more than that, I can see more in you Planet Earth.
Idea blocks scramble up from their holes of mossy potentiality, and they
are all out there playing on a field you see. SO many of them, running all around.
Well socialixed persons, running leftways rightways antways crossedways
buliding their little lego city. But what are you doing here, little apostrophe '
there is no room on this page for your punctuation. I wish I were on a riverboat on the mississippi.
