I'm almost certain that isn't exclusively Australian slang

Perhaps New Zealanders share your slang, but I've most certainly never heard the word. Nor do I see how you get arv(o) from afternoon.

Apropos of nothing, I sometimes feel guilty for not knowing Spanish. Perhaps that goes with living in the county of Los Angeles, and working in a restaurant. Maybe's it's just me being me. I dunno.

I feel guilty for not knowing Spanish too. Though it's not at all relevant where I live right now, it's certainly widely used in this country.

That 5-MeO-MiPT is good, it's certainly what I expected, except maybe a bit weak. Hard to say from one trial, I took some tonight, 6mg, and then played music. My fruend took some too, we both agreed it was nice but subtle. But that's part of whag I have always liked about 5-MeO-MiPT. Nice to know I have what must be a lifetime supply, they sent so much extra it's crazy.

today is my first day of class after taking the winter semester off. feels good to be back on campus. so friggin' broke though, hopefully i can afford to keep commuting. i got student loans for this spring semester (which is only 7 weeks long), but for some dumb reason i won't get the loan money until the end of the semester. bleh.

My summer holiday just started. It's funny how easy the first year in university was, I got more than enough credit and it feels like I've just been chilling the whole year, barely had any lectures on whole spring. Now I got a few weeks vacation before starting summer job :)

I miss college, though less now than I did in my late twenties. I had an amazing time there. It feels really good to be learning. You can and should learn on your own your whole life, but it helps a lot to have someone teaching you in a personal way.

So, samadhi_smiles is going to live in my extra room for a couple of months. I'm pretty excited. :) We're gonna do a bunch of projects around the house/yard, like planting fruit bushes and sowing some native seeds for wild edibles... maybe even innoculate some hemlock logs for reishi mushrooms. Fix the roof, finish some indoor projects... it'll be awesome. I feel so much more motivated to do that stuff with someone helping.

A friend in need is a friend indeed, a friend with mexy is better.
Lolz I'm writing a song about MXE, about damn time too. Someone has to, in its honor.

Australians create weird slang for all sorts of shit. Australian accent pronounces the first syllable "arf" (ar-ph-ter-noon). Hence arvo. There, it makes perfect sense. ;)

Feel so jaded today. Like I hate this world so much. Its so awful at times, being alive and how weird that is. Its usually great, but I am finding things way too confusing atm...

Perhaps a trip down south might be in order, sir Willow ;) come visit Canberra, will give you a new appreciation for living in BB hahaha. Shit's fucking COLD here (relatively. Shut up EU/US peeps :P). -4 Celsius when I walked out the door this morning. I really hope it stays this 'shitty' rather than the usual yo-yo bullshit the weather pulls. At least then we might actually have a good snow season, as opposed to the season "starting" early, then going to shit as it always does halfway through winter.

Only someone truly evil would recommend Canberra as a change of scenery :D

Fucken cold in Melbourne too. Had to climb my roof the other night to remove hail from my gutters causing water to drip into my bedroom and literally splash me with finger tips of icy hate. Fuck winter.

I think I've confused you with another Aussie BL'er with regards to location lol.

Melbourne would suck just as much, but in a slightly different way haha.

Windscreen was proper frozen this morning :( my poor new car is experiencing its first winter

Finally got a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, which has been near the top of my reading list for nearly a decade. I read of things I once knew but have forgotten over the last few years, which has given me pause. I s'pose the focus on the the things of this world (such as my lack of social functionality/not trying to fix my life, doubts over the soundness of my mind, a reorientation towards Western thought, a resumption of interest politics, and death becoming Plan A for self-improvement) has changed my mind quite a bit. Thinking of non-attachment and the divine unity is soothing, I must say.

I see, thanks for the info. Haven't had much occasion to hear Australians speak since I watched Steve Irwin as a kid.

I love your turn of phrase. As an aside, it's always weird hearing you Southern hemisphere people talking about your backwards seasons, while you hang off the bottom of the Earth like bats.

Intense work day, the rest of it is going to suck nuts, but I still managed to deliver something for a side project that I've been trying to get done for some time, and after work I'm going to go finish building and start filling some raised beds in a community garden I'm part of, and maybe play some music too. So at least there's something to look forward to. :)

Oh god no lol

Sounds like a pretty productive afternoon you've got planned :) I'm glad it's Friday morning here now...been to the gym this morning, and now finally at work. Got my coffee and breakfast, there's pretty much no pressing work to do, and it's actually a nice day outside (albeit still cold).

Yeah, I had like a psychedelic revelation 4-5 years ago, posting on BL tripping a bit and realising that most of you guys speak in AMERICAN ACCENTS OMG!! (like in the movies....) 8o

It changed evertything for me.

How are we not falling off it? In truth, I can't figure out how you guys don't. Someone MUST be hanging on somewhere...

Technically, to an Aussie, Steve Irwin could have been called either Steve-o or even Irvo. It is acceptable to include a V-sound in a word previously lacking it. Also, add O or Y to the end of any name: insta-aussie.

Crikey: not widely used except to give us shit ;) However, we all say g'day constantly even at night. Be careful, you've made me aggro. I am placated with a sumptious barbie though, chuck on some snags and then head down to the bottle-o, lets get pissed. May even root a few sheila's while we're at it.

Without googling- WITHOUT GOOGLING- translate. Troz, you are excluded. :)

btw, I am almost being racist to my fellow countrymen here, most aussies speak quite normally. Steretypical australian is a dying breed (thank fucking christ).:D

So, I found 4 10mg methadone tablets from a few years ago. I haven't had opiates in over 3 months, so decided to ingest. Feel delicate and wobbly and a bit nauseated. Plus a bit guilty but a bit euphoric and a bit sleepy. I feel lots of little things quite a lot.
