Hey swirly folks. I was reading a magazine article and came across a word that I think describes psychedelic "hallucinations" / perceptual-effects very well: pareidolia.

I've noticed that the patterns and visuals that I see on psychedelics are often my brain's attempt to find some significance in random noise.

Also, I'm tripping balls on acid right now. :D

Sup TAC? Nice to see you pop in. Have a nice trip. :)

What I wouldn't give for even the opportunity to consider trying a substituted tryptamine RC....anything 4-HO or 4-AcO would be good kthx

4-HO-MET interests me. I'm not using any substances at the moment, but when it's time again, I think I may try this one for the first time.

4-HO-MET is awesome. It reminds me a lot of LSD mentally and in how raw it makes all sensory stimuli feel, but it has a visual intensity and style more like mushrooms or DMT. It's definitely worth the experience, I've only met one person who doesn't really prefer it so far and that particular person is highly sensitive (in a bad way) to many forms of stimulation, so take that how you will. It does get kind of energizing in moderate to high doses, but again in a very clean way like LSD for me.

I've been there man. If you have the desire and patience you'll find a way to get to them eventually.... I went from only having tried 4-AcO-DMT for ages to suddenly going through 4-HO-MiPT, 4-HO-DiPT, 4-HO-MET, 4-HO-DET, and the AcO versions of the last two in less than a year. It was totally worth the wait.... These are by far my favorites psychedelics ever now, and there's still more to go. :) I'm barely even interested in anything besides them and LSD anymore.

good to see ya TAC, godspeed on your trip. :)

Good to see you too, nightwatch. :)

Hey Xorkoth! I did indeed have a nice trip. I last tripped over a year ago. I was trying the whole just-be-a-normal-sober-person strategy, just to see if it was better than using psychedelics regularly, but it didn't seem like there was any benefit to that lifestyle, and it's a lot less interesting, so... I'm back.

Here's hoping :)

I think it's got a bit to do with being in Australia (bordered by seas, overly efficient customs, and ridiculous analogue laws), though I'm definitely out of the loop with sources as I don't really know anyone who'd even know what they were let alone where to get them >.< probably a good thing really lol....guess I'll have to make do with mushroom picking over the next few months

All right. I'm feeling good this morning, hopeful despite not having a solid plan. I'm ultimately flying away again, as in moving back out of my parents house, to either CA, AZ or CO. But its still months from happening. I have to prepare now by getting off suboxone in the next couple months. Then I will feel more free. I'm finally out of MXE, but yesterday was made much more tolerable by the bit left I had found. I got all my tires changed on my car and had to wait 3 hours. So I went to Radio Shack and rapped with the geeks working there for awhile. I didn't know they sell EL wire there now! So I bought some blue EL wire and a battery pack and I was almost convinced into buying an arduino kit to play with, so many ideas!

Sounds good Vortech! I love messing around with electronics. When I was a kid I bought parts and materials from Radio Shack to sound a buzzer and/or turn on a light anytime someone stepped on the stairs to the basement (where my bedroom was). Good times. Good luck getting off the subox and preparing for your future move!

Good to try that out sometimes, I did that from 2010 to early 2013, except for 2 trips spaced over a year apart in there. I certainly find benefit in not doing psychedelics too often, but I also saw no benefit in cutting them out. In fact it's much easier for me to feel connected and spiritual when I use them periodically.

I hope you stick around for a while. :)

Went hiking yesterday and took 270 ug lsd. Third time taking acid and first outdoors. A lot better being outside. Probably shoulda just taken two (@90ug) but I didn't. About 2 hours in I just wanted to lay down and melt into the ground. Felt like I could have fallen asleep. Or at least into a daze/dreamlike state. Like the forest kept telling me " we're so happy to see you. Thanks for coming. We looooove you" Walked past this one spot and just felt this energy swirling around/in me trying to pull me down like "stayyy stayyy lets be together".

After that it kinda seems to be a waste taking it inside. Took la little bit of mxe later that night. Ended up watching a newer movie called Predestination with Ethan Hawke. Movie fucked me up. Sci Fi trippy as fuck "what's really goin on" type of movie.

I had the weirdest birthday today. In the morning I felt so depressed that I even cried little bit. Driving to the university I couldnt care less for anything. A hard weekend really does some things in my brain, its all good now.

had another friend commit suicide last week. that makes five total dead friends, three of which were suicides, in the last year. idk how i even feel about it anymore.

i don't understand how some people's lives can be so filled with joyful things, and other people's lives so filled with tragic things, with seemingly no karmic correlation. seriously am convinced lately that this is just a cold, random, indifferent universe.

Have you ever read Ecclesiastes? You'll probably vibe with it.

I started on such an experiment 'round November/December 2011, if memory serves. I think tripping was healthy for me. If the opportunity presents itself, I shall do so again, though I wonder if my seroquel might block it. I s'pose I'm just a psychedelic person when you get down to it.

I feel psychedelic minded at times.
i just dont identify with that hippie nonsense
and raver kids tend to be highly retarded.
